Chris Hemsworth is Thor

I can easily see both the pros & cons of the beard so either way isn't a make or break deal for me. But w/o the beard, Chris better have an even more commanding presence or the "looks too young" types are going to be all over it. Unfortunately, that presence will be impossible to be seen in the 1st photos we get no matter what.

I think Hemsworth is potentially great casting; - He's got the look, stature, is an athletic guy and he looks older than 26 which is great.

The only thing that bothers me is while he is in good shape he needs to put on some muscle bulk to be Thor. I'm not optimistic about this tho. When did they start shooting.. 11th Jan?

To get Christian Bale's level of bulk in BB would be an ideal. If Hemsworth is his usual muscular yet slender self in the film, I'm gonna have trouble excepting him as 'The Mighty Thor.'

I don't think it'll be a big issue. Chris looks much bigger than Bale was in BB, which is good for me. That, plus the fact he'll stand about 6'4" in costume, I think he'll look plenty big enough.

Hemsworth is DEFINITELY big enough. He could swat Bale like a fly. And you have to take in consideration he is like 6.4 so he'll look slimmer at first glance.

But the guy is built like a linebacker. He's gotta be pushing 250 pounds. That is big enough.

hehe yea. I dunno how many times we've been over this but comic book characters are comic book characters. The way they are drawn is impossible to achieve in real life, especially for guys like Thor. Unless of course you want a steroid pumped wrestler who can't act!

Well, they are shooting Thor, so I would assume that he's doing that now. It will be interesting to see where his career goes after Thor. With the minimal stuff that he's done, he sure is getting popular quickly. Dancing with the Stars, Star Trek (a part that many people remember surprising enough), and now Thor and Avengers. He may be one of the next big things.
