I'd like to see white, and have the whole film take place in the snow. For being on the run from the public, Batman would have trouble keeping hidden against a white background. It would make for an interesting dilemma.

GREEN!!!! :D

Plaid- to indicate Bruce Wayne's Scottish heritage.

and if its green, it could look too much like the Matrix. I say white or red

I hope its red.... I don't see Riddler as the lead villain to be honest.... and Batman Forever is already the 3rd Batman film with that color scheme... Thats like saying tdk should have been purple because Joker was in it.....

colors have symbolism

Yellow is a color for beginning
Blue is associated with sadness
Red as perhaps Vengeance or Victory?

Stick to the natural hues. BB has earthy brown, TDK has steel blues and the third should have a nice ominous cloudy grey... Lots of rain... The sky is heavy and the storms finally about to break...

that would actually be a really good one aswell.... Works nice too cause of the Storms Coming line from BB

no,red would signify brutal defeat of the main character. (see 300:grin:)

if it was that big a deal he'd just make a white suit:yay: 1 that kept him warm better!!

Everyone knows black is the coolest colour, but green for The Riddler is a good one too.

White for winter, which symbolizes the end of Nolan's series, and for redemption.

in my posters, as some of you guys can see I use a variation of colors,

blue for batman

green-ish blue for catwoman

green for the riddler

I don't see how the colouration of previous film's marketing has been related to the film's theme... murky amber for Batman Begins... because Amber makes you think of fear? and blue for Dark Knight COULD be regarded as a visual attempt to connotate a Michael Mann film, but it's not as if we could have sat down before hand and said - right, there should be a blue marketing angle - because blue is cold and gives the film a clear, clean look which realtes to the themes becaaaausseee.....They'll choose a colour for whatever looks cool. Simple as that.
Amber is a shade of yellow. Yellow is an archetypal color of fear, creating an old term yellow-bellied coward; So it worked just fine with BB.
so far, IMO, Red sounds like the best choice. It easily represents the "Dawn" motif people have talked about, it represents the last third of a "Primary Color" trio with the first two films...it's a decent nod to "Batman: The Animated Series" (Obviously I would expect Nolan and Pfister to downplay it so that it's not 'blood-red skies' but still)...

And it feels to be the most fun and mosrt natural of the present choices.

Amber has been done in 'Begins.'
Blue has been done in 'TDK.'
Black/Gray is too bland.
Green is too 'Matrix.'
Orange is too bright.
Purple is too 'Joker.'
Yellow is too piss.
Brown is too poop.

Red is perfect.

Haha

I think red would be could, because it would follow up with the comics(year one:brownish color, the long Halloween: blue) so if it is following that pattern then red for dark victory. (but without the robin from dark victory) and as cool as the green looks it also looks to campy we might as well have Adam west be batman if we r going to use such a color

Red is the colour, most of the time for danger, and is fairly obvious when someone is watching the film. The colour should be one that will add to the film, but at the same time, must be forgotten, so the audience can forget they're watching a movie.

So if it's going to be red, I'd hope it is there fairly and not overly used.

I am doing my final posters for Gotham City, I will use

Red for Batman

Green for Riddler

Blue for Catwoman

Plaid is a combination of colours, and I thought white was a shade, until I looked it up on Wikipedia;

White is a color, the perception which is evoked by light that stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye in near equal amount and with high brightness compared to the surroundings.

Didn't know that personally.

I think he means that white is abscence of color, as black is.

I thought so too, before I read the article.
