The Dark Knight Rises Colour Scheme For Third Film...?!?!

I always interpreted:

• Batman Begins as the Sunrise, the beginning of the day, the beginning of Batman. That's the why of the slightly desaturated golden orange. And I think Wally Pfister himself mentioned it.
• The Dark Knight as the day into night transition, the happening of day itself, also various scenes taking place during daytime. That's the why of the blue. (What color is the sky during the day, kids? )
• Shadow Of The Bat as the Sunset, the ending of the day, the day is complete, as Batman will be (or at least "more" complete). The sunset it's known by it's intense red and orange colors. So I think it's logical for red to be the next one.

That's cool. I always felt it might be red too.

I voted 'other' just because I want a mixture of black and a dark purple.

Why?

Because I want the main villains to be Riddler and Black Mask; Black Mask is obvious for black, and for Riddler, I want his color scheme to be of black and purple(as green seems too...bright for a Nolan film, imo), as Riddler could be wearing some very dark clothes, as in a black and dark purple suit.

Shades of a greyish haze during the daytime(because he's on the run, his identity is blurred) and very dark, grim black with undertones of red(for danger, urgency) when he's out at night.

This way, we get the sense of the chase, the state he's in when under the guise of Bruce Wayne being more like a cloud, like he's not really himself- and then at night, it amps up his aggression, and shows his descent into the darkness.

(Oh, and also- as mentioned earlier, I picture reddish skies a'la B:TAS)

Yep, I recall reading an article on it sometime ago before TDK came out. Nolan could not correctly see the Joker's lips and hair color. But it isn't too difficult just trusting the hair and makeup designer for one character. It would be far more unfeasible to want him to post-tint an entire film green or red if he cannot see those colors correctly.

If he is red/green color blind like most people who are, then he probably does not know what red looks like at all. But anyway I'd like to see the sepia possibly return from BB, like in the narrows. It had a terrific comic/Year 1 feel to it. Purple might not be a bad idea, but not for this film. If a Batman film is going to have large huges of purple, it should be a film with the Joker in it.

I don't think the color scheme will have anything to do with the villains used. As an earlier poster said, Nolan is using schemes that thematic. The orange rust of dawn in BB, the metallics and blue of day in TDK, and if this is the end of Nolan's Batman like he says, you would have to assume a sunset motif. So maybe it will be a bit more like BB with the oranges and rusty hues. Maybe some violet could differentiate it from BB's tones a bit.

I would love for the third movie to take place during winter and have Nolan's Gotham covered in snow...

It would certainly give the movie a different feel and look... It doesn't have to be Christmas or snowy for the entire duration.

Bale on the Bat-pod in the snow would look awesome.

As a stylistic choice for another movie maybe, but in this batman series, I just don't see how it fits
