Bryan Cranston still my pick
But I have been warming up for Guy Pearce

I saw someone suggest Steve Zahn before, and that could be a sort of unconventionally interesting choice, plus he's worked with Matt Reeves before.

Throw some glasses on him and he really looks like Miller's Gordon from Year One. I think Zahn is my favourite suggestion now.I saw someone suggest Steve Zahn before, and that could be a sort of unconventionally interesting choice, plus he's worked with Matt Reeves before.

Wright is awesome, but I'd like a younger actor to play Gordon. He's probably not going to already be commissioner when Batman is just starting out, right? Kind of like Batman Begins or Year One?Jeffrey Wright is still my top choice, but if we get White Gordon, Steve Zahn is one choice I'd be 100% on board with. I think it's very likely he'll be racebent though, given that there's established precedent for it.
My fondness for that storyline notwithstanding, Batman R.I.P. is a little too convoluted for the big screen. It involves everything from Fourth World mythology (e.g., Darkseid, the Hyper-Adapter aka Barbatos-before-Scott Snyder-ruined-the-character) to time travel. On their best day, WB wouldn't do it justice.MacLachlan would be my pick for Thomas Wayne/Simon Hurt if they ever used Morrison’s R.I.P. storyline.
I despise the sight of Chris Evans wearing a moustache lol.
