To be honest: I would prefer Cranston as Lex Luthor. He should do more than just playing a sidekick character. Gary Oldman, while being awesome as ever, was kind wasted in the Dark Knight trilogy, too. He would have made a great villain, i.e. Jonathan Crane (though the Scarecrow was wasted in the trilogy as well).

Gordon is guaranteed to appear in a lot of Batman movies. And look at Gary Oldman's role. ..He was far from a sidekick to Batman.

But you're right about Cranston. ...if he was to play Gordon, then his talent shouldn't be used as Gordon, if the character is just going to have a limited role, lesser to Oldman's...

It'd be a pitiful waste and his talent would lie better with Lex.

I don't know why. But my favourite as Gordon is Billy Bob Thornton.
A mid 90s Harvey Keitel would have been great, too.

Sam Elliott would have been good if Bats was like 50. Brolin for example. If he did Batman vs Superman then towards the end of the decade came out with a solo film, id say Eliott would work really well as the early 70s Commish.

But for now, since Affleck is 41, ill go with Cranston or Kurt Russell for Gordon.

I forgot about Cranston lol

Well. Thank God I deduced that Lex CBN article was bullpoop :D

I hope they don't get one of those bland cw hot male actors to play the young Jim gorden

Looking forward to Gordon in his own TV show called "Gotham" I wish Oldman took the job.

Would Bryan Cranston do it though? I mean he is a big shot now...Strictly movie roles is what he probably is looking for.

If Cranston can't do it (word is he wants a break after Breaking Bad)...

my top choices are Tom Selleck and Michael Biehn, in that order.

Denzel should be Harvey Dent in the Batman reboot. Think how good he is at playing good guys and bad guys.

It'll be a younger actor than Cranston chosen, probably.
Probably. I don't think they'll go super young, but probably late 30s/early 40s. Cranston's closing in on his late 50s.

Harvey Keitel might have made an interesting Gordon about twenty years ago, says I.
