Justin Theroux as Gordon is a strange and chameleon like pick but in a good way...I would have never have recognized him as Gordon

I mean, nobody wants to subject the guy to the humiliation of actualy using his ridiculous real name. Stop insisting on cruelty!

Theroux's kinda interesting. Might come off a little too "soft" somehow same as Macy, can't quite wrap my head around him as the grizzled-20-year-cop-who's-seen-it-all, but I haven't seen that recent show he's on so maybe that's not accurate. Really fun actor though, always liked Theroux. Guess he's probably old enough to pull it off now too.

And I feel like Gordon is the type of character that Reeves can get a bit creative with casting. You don't necessarily need a big name. Zahn's lesser known, but he's a great character actor that audiences would instantly root for.

And the connection to Reeves helps.

And the connection to Reeves helps.

On the other hand, it's also a character in which it'd be ridiculously easy to cast a pretty acclaimed actor so the movie gets an extra pump.

Honestly we've talked about it so much that it's sort of lost its luster.

That trifecta of Bale, Oldman, and Caine was honestly unbelievable. 3 absolute world class actors. Morgan Freeman too? Damn...

Affleck, Simmons, and Irons just didn’t even compare. The latter two didn’t impress me whatsoever in spite of my being a fan of theirs.

I’m really feeling Pattinson, Hawke, and Laurie as our new trifecta. I think that’d be really solid.
