What would they do, kill off Pierce?

spoiler regarding storyline for season 3
well there is supposed to be a a character that dies in this season ( most speculate that its Leonard) however I cant find it now , but I remember Joel mentioning in an interview , that there could be a 2nd death im begining to wonder if it could indeed be Pierce.

I remember reading about a feud between Chevy Chase and Bill Murray, and wondering which one was the *****e. I had always assumed Murray, but now, maybe not...

Or maybe both. :o

Chevy and Dan are feuding.

Based on the article, I find Chevys voicemail rant to be completely justified.

I mean if my 'boss' were trying to lead a "F U" chant directed at me during an office party with my family in attendance...to say I'd be upset is an understatement. Not cool Harmon.

Having said that, Chevy has been know to be an a-hole. And his detachment from the cast seems to be evident. I Especially noticed these while watching the bloopers where they seem to be annoyed by him most of the time.

As funny as Chevy can be, Pierce doesn't make or break the show. It's not like it would be a Steve Carell leaving The Office type of situation if he walks. Would he be missed? Sure, but the show can move on without a problem. If he does leave, who should replace him? My choice:

The thing is, reading is HP interview, Chevy's complaints are kinda fair. IMO, this show has been "off" this season, so no wonder he has problems with the storylines.

And the voice mail thing was justified. Sadly, with Chevys rep and the rabidness of the fans, all these things will be ignored.

You do realize there are other, less extreme ways to write off his character.

They don't need to kill him off if he wanted to leave the show.

This isn't '24' or Lost.

So, I just read the deadline thing from today. I don't think Chevy/Pierce is going to be on this show much longer. I like the character, but Chevy sounds very pompous and difficult to work with if he'll just storm off and ruin the final scene of the season finale over ego. Then again, Dan Harmon comes off as every immature and arrogant to have the whole crew chant "**** You, Chevy" at the wrap party in front of Chevy's wife and daughter. They both handled the situation badly. But Chevy seems to have created this situation and since the show's an ensemble....

Oh well. Looks like there will be an opening spot in the study group next year.

What Harmon did sounds more like a joke. A joke that went too far? Sure. But getting a room to chant "**** you" in a serious attempt to hurt someone doesn't sound like something anyone would do.

And have him die at the end of the episode.

I like the Pierce character but it wouldn't be the worst thing. This show lost Chang as a teacher and even Chang appears less and less so Pierce being absent wouldn't be a big deal.

tbh after last season I don't think there's anything let for pierce as a character. he just seems to be going in circles. he's still a racist ass lol, and he's not going to change. I've never really found him all that funny, but that's because I've never found chevy chase to be all that funny. this show is funniest I've ever found him lol. sure, it'll be weird missing a main character but I don't think it'll kill the series, and the series is only planned for four season by the creators right?

Hey did you hear the news? All dogs are Blue now.

Actually, if Chevy does end up leaving, the easiest route for them would be to finally put Chang in the study group.

na, Chang is only good in small doses.

You can tell that Chevy is kind of a diva and I think a lot of his storylines are self-referential to the fact he's pissed he's not the star of the show. However I've always thought Dan Harmon was kind of a jerk, and from reading his twitter feed he's incredibly hostile to even the slightest criticism.

Maybe they'll get Jack Black back to fill Pierce's spot? :awesome:

he'll ruin the the flow though, they won't even be able to get through a cold open before the credits start!

Maybe they'll replace him with a character named Oliver that nobody likes that disappears without ever being mentioned again after the season premiere.

The Oliver this seems exactly like something they'd do. :funny:
