I confess that...I'm back after 5 years away for no reason whatsoever. Honestly, I'm surprised my handle was all here and registered

I was here for a while then I left for a few years, then I came back and picked up sometime around 2010.

I confess that I'm at my new job today, and all I can think in my head is, "Honey came in and she caught me red handed creepin' with the girl next door. Picture this we were both butt naked banging on the bathroom floor. How could I forget that I had given her an extra key? All this time she was standing, and she never took her eyes off me."

It still amazes me that his woman was a peeping Tom, or Jane in this case.

I confess I graduate college in May and I'm very anxious about my future.

Say goodbye to Winter, Spring and Summer Breaks. So long snow days.

Welcome to 40 hour weeks, 8-10 holidays and 2 week vacations.

Pleated slacks, generic clip-on ties, some incompetent authority figure telling me what to do and staring out of my cubicle day after day with a soulless expression?

Or you could graduate with a load of student debt and no job prospects! :awesome:

I just graduated from grad school and my ceremony is Saturday. Also, I was laid off from my job on Dec 28. So yeah, I have a hell of a lot of free time on my hands all of a sudden. I have been volunteering at a local museum for over a year now and plan to go back to that. I dont know how much more work they can give me there and most jobs will only hire an archivist if they have a minimum of 2 years volunteering experience.

This has put me at odds with my darling father, who has said three different times that having me around the house is going to drive him crazy. He never says why that is, but he is apparently clinging onto sanity. I know he says I never help out around the house (except for when I remind him that I helped him cut down a tree two years ago, or helped install a hardwood floor, or moved my brother into his apartment, or helped to remove the huge oil container in the crawlspace, or...). He clearly wants me to be a blue collar man, despite my making it clear for years that I have no interest in anything like that. Going to work for 30 hours a week plus school has never impressed him. He is the one that told his sister and husband that he was surprised I made it as far in school as I did. Funny, since he needed 6 years to graduate high school.

I tend to be a homebody, which he hates. Still, we live in a small town with nothing to do, because there is nothing here but restaurant chains. Chicago is over an hour away and gas is too expensive to go there real often. So what the hell am I supposed to do?

Move 1/2 way. Find a beater. Smash the crap out of it, but get mobile.

Call around to all the places you would like to work. Find out who is in HR. SEND them your resume in a creative amazing way and get the job you want.

Tell your dad you love him and that you are trying your best. But that you want to do X and you want/need/would like his support.

I confess ... You kids today need to grab life by the balls and make it your ***** and instead of finding roadblocks find a solution and DO something.

I confess that I also wondered why the young woman in question monitored his movements and did not drop his ass after the first infraction ... Good beat though.

I confess that I now have two jobs, and I have also noticed that I've been listening to a lot of reggae lately, mon.

Ya Laaaazy Bumbaclot! Him only got two jobs!

I still got more jobs than Tommy.

CC is a fraud. She only has one job, and that involves making sure that people don't rip the tags off of mattresses.

Fo realz? The world doesn't even make sense to me anymore. :(
