This is awesome! Thanks for sharing

Alot of people are giving the Goblin design flack, I dont think its perfect and I think with a bit of tweaking it would have been pretty close to perfect and I hope thats what they are saving for Normans eventual run as Goblin (all speculation) I did a quick really rough PS job on this pic of Harry and think it would have totally won over any skeptics had they done this or something closer to this.

It doesn't.

Especially not for Harry's transformation.
His costume and look is due to specific reasons.

Also, why would Oscorp even use the color purple for making a [BLACKOUT]military/defense[/BLACKOUT] suit?

Although Webb is embracing the comic bookiness of Spidey, it still needs to stay "relatively" grounded in some areas, in that regard, Harry's Goblin really works imo, you can't give him bright green skin or whatever, it'd look silly, or use maybe a very dark green since darker, more muted colors usually work better, especially on CG creations (who knows, if they go with a GG ala Ultimate in TASM 3)

Because the COMICS did it that way so it has to be the same! :cwink:

In that case the Goblin should also be using the flying broomstick.

And it MUST purr like a kitty, otherwise I hate this movie

Seeing as they aren't meant to look like the goblin, that's okay. At least the turtles look like the TMNT, unlike Harry Goblin.

No they don't.

1. They've been given Shrek-like noses. Mikey looks the worse of the worse when he takes off his mask. He looks goofy and creepy at the same time. The beaked look has worked for 30 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, or the very least turn the Turtles into some Godawful monstrosity.

2. The Turtles hardly ever wore clothes unless it was on a special mission or when it was winter. Otherwise, they've always been naked except for the weapons, elbow and kneepads, and finger tape.

Harry's Goblin looks Gobin-esque with his sharp teeth, pointed nose, the Bluetooths in his ears give off pointy ears, there's some green in his complexion, he rides a glider, has pumpkin bombs, and his hair is formed in the shape of the Green Goblin's hat.

We're going to be really disappointed. I don't think we'll be getting any purring. :(

If this movie is as good as people are hyping it to be, I'll be purring plenty.

As much as I may not find the Harry Goblin design visually satisfying, I can't argue against these points. They definitely had the Goblin or at least a Goblin in mind when creating his aesthetics.

Look, the logic you're applying to the turtles could easily apply to GG. You're pointing out everything that's different about the one you dislike and everything that's similar about the one you're ok with. Both have differences and similarities. Looking at either out of context, I'd immediately know who they were supposed to be.

Why are we even talking about the turtles here?

Heh looking at the Turtles in TMNT you'd know who they were meant to be straight away. If you showed someone, even a Spidey fan, a pic of DeHaan Goblin they'd have no clue that was supposed to be based off a Spidey Goblin.

He looks like a dirty faced troll doll haired guy with bad dental hygiene. It's so bad it's funny. Giving him pointy ears and teeth doesn't make him look like a Goblin. Heh vampires and a bazillion other monsters have those.

It would be pretty obvious to any Spidey fan that DeHaan is supposed to be the Goblin.

I think that Dehaan's Goblin goes trough some stages in his transformation and becomes greener by the passage of time.
