Agreed.
Avengers is more family friendly (again not an insult) and Marvel wont be putting any scenes with drug addiction/taking, swearing or decapitations in their films anytime soon.
. Thor got his hand cut off, the whole extremis virus thing. They don't use the F bomb but they do have strong language.Ummm That's incoorect because they already have. Thor got his hand cut off, the whole extremis virus thing. They don't use the F bomb but they do have strong language.

That's because it was mediocre.
91.4 is less than TLS.
I expected much more.
And ThorTDW made the least amount of money out of the last four Marvel films![]()
Movie was good, could have been so much better.91.4 is less than TLS.
I expected much more.
FC was a 2D film. With that plus inflation the results aren't as far apart as they might look.
DOFP was expected to be the no 1 opening. While the fatigue of TASM2 was predicted on several sites, no one predicted this with DOFP. Mojo, predicted DOFP as the no 2 domestic opening of the year after How to Train your dragon 2 with $290M. It's going to fall well short of that figure and may not reach $200M if there's a significant drop this weekend.
Is DOFP a flop? No and international BO will take it to over 600M WW, but it is a major disappointment.
Major disappointment? What are you smoking?
I never expected X3 figures. No movie this year has done that yet. And considering the X-Men aren't as 'pop culture' as Godzilla or Spider-Man, they were all pretty close in numbers.
X-Men is rebuilding itself and, hopefully, this movie will be the first big stone in the foundation.
That being said, it's clear that the more splashy nature of X3 was also an audience draw. X3 had a great trailer (better than the one for DoFP) and a bit more snap, crackle and pop in the whole 'feel' of the pre-movie marketing. DoFP was presented in more of a sombre fashion.
Cap 2 has.

No it hasn't!
X3 had $102m 3-day weekend, while Cap 2 had $95m.
Oh, you're only talking OW. My mistake.
