Yep. And it hasn't expanded to Dollar Theatre's yet. It'll hit $232 million sometime this week. I still think it'll end it's run with $233-$234 million domestic.

I just don't see how some think it'll barely hit $233 M domestic when it's almost to $232 million, and it has roughly six to seven weeks left of release.

I agree with you. It's just going to take a long time, which makes it easy to become doubtful about it. I still think it'll pass Last Stand eventually.

.Lets see what the numbers have to say. 1st of all the daily comparison with TLS is STUCK at 2 mil and wo go under.

MOS had 289,121,541 on its 63th day & ended with
291,045,518 +1,92
Thor 2 TDW had 203,619,586 on 63th day ended with 206,362,140 +2,74 mil
CAP2 TWS had 255,447,104 & ended? with 258,923,934 +3,48 mil
TASM2 had 200,477,612 & ended? with 202,408,526 +1,93 mil
Godzila had 198,504,792 & so far has 199,922,103 +1,41 mil so far

XMEN DoFP had 230,877,809 on its 63th day.

So i guess we need CAP2 TWS numbers to beat the X-The Last Stand.
Gonna be close but i think we ll miss it by a little.

P.S. Numbers are from Boxofficemojo and i picked the 63th day cause it was the best common late day i cound find for all these movies. not all had a 64th day data.

I don't think it will outgross X3, its just too late now since it only got 193k this weekend. If it expands for like 500 theaters or goes to dollar theaters, I still don't think it is still to get 2.5 to 3 million more.

Losing ground on X3 as of this weekend, 187k compared to X3's 188k. GOTG hurt it probably since it is the exact same demographic.

Hopefully the dollar expansion comes soon....

Sooner or later X-Men will have more theaters added. I still see X3's numbers within reach.

I just hope Fox will expand this, I don't really want complain but geez Fox's other film, Rio 2 is already out for 17 weeks and it almost made the same money as DOFP this weekend! It has almost the same theater count as DOFP! I know its an animated film but still.

Animated movies always tend to play for a longer time so that's not that so surprising. Still though, because of the great international total i really don't care if DOFP goes past X3 in terms of U.S. box office.

After 12 weeks the theater count for DOFP has dropped to five here (3 in Amsterdam, 1 in The Hague and 1 in Rotterdam). It played for 8 weeks at my local cineplex and that's great considering the World Cup and that several big movies have been released since then.

Expendables 3 and GOTG are been released next wednesday/thursday so it looks like i need to hurry to see DOFP one final time!

Oh and btw on The Colbert Report when Stephen Colbert interviewed Elon Musk (July 25 show) he mentioned "the future you’re giving us is the future that I saw, in X-men on Saturday night".Pretty late to the game but still a cool plug nonetheless.
