The review embargo for Deadpool 2 lifts on Monday, May 14 (8:00 p.m. PDT / 11:00 p.m. EDT).

What RT score do you think Deadpool 2 will get?

Highest mid 80's. Lowest low 70's.

remember first one had 83% and avg score 7.

I guess around 70% and score 6.5 ish.

I disagree with this review in so many ways. While the movie makes various references to pop culture things (that's Deadpool for you) it doesn't effect the overall course of the film. While the first one may have been "easier" to follow, midway through it gets really boring and I couldn't help but just want to get to the end. This was my take on the film after I'd watched it last week. This one doesn't have that problem at all and as a result is way better than the first. There are various twists and turns in the film so you actually don't know how its going to end or whats going to happen next. Ironic that its suddenly an issue in the film but if Cable was the actual villain this person's review would talk about how predictable the film is.

Also just remember this person is breaking the review emabrgo so yea lol But I wouldn't be surprised to see reviews like this either way....there are some people who just hate the character and then there are those who have no sense of humor which is why I am not predicting a high RT score for it.

Hopefully it gets 80% plus.

Thank you

I think it'll be in the 70's, if not lower. Something tells me it's going to be a massive box office hit and audience's will all flock to see it, but critically it will be a case of diminishing returns.

I was expecting it to be about 10% lower than the first film and for some reason thought the first film had a higher tomatometer (just checked and it's 83%). 70% plus would be fine then. I guess this edgy kind of comedy isn't for everyone.

Comedy sequels don't tend to do as well as the first outing in general. Obviously Deadpool isn't a straight up comedy and this is all but guaranteed to be a massive hit, but I foresee more critics growing tired of Deadpool's schtick by this point.

Makes sense.

Wow, just realized that Deadpool 1 only got 83% and 7/10 on RT. The fact that it managed to get some accolades CBMs often can only dream of (Best Comedy and Best Actor on Golden Globe, a PGA and WGA nomination) is extremely impressive.

This will get about 80%, I assume.

I've been saying this for years. RottenTomatoes doesn't really matter, and shouldn't really matter.

Yeah It doesn't 100% matter but it's a useful source for evaluation.

I don't know, man. It has kinda dumbed down the audience in my opinion.
I wouldn't have watched movies I really like and I would've wasted money on others I didn't really like that much if I would follow RottenTomatoes. And online I've seen far too many people make arguments with "well, RottenTomatoes says..." which is the death of any real conversation regarding movies and art.

Should be going live any minute, no?

I think it'll end up in the 70s. It seems they are turning up the violence, craziness and vulgarity up to 11. If it doesnt have that strong emotional spine that the first one had then I can see critics not loving it.

Personally not bothered if its a great cbm or not, I just want another hilarious film. That's why the first one was so good. I fear it will try to do a little too much this time around.

Yeah I can see it being less popular than the first with critics, as long as its stays fresh that will be a win. Reckon high 60's to low 70's as the first only just got above 80.
