Meh, I still think it's the same with Season 5. Both were weak in their own way. Season 6 had a good start and it had interesting material for them to work with, but they kinda fail to do it properly.
Yeah mate, I'm totally insane! Better be careful, there's no telling what I might do if we meet!Looks like having a different opinions equals being insane these days, didn't knew so thanks for the heads up
& good for you.

Right, but the amount of seasons doesn't really matter. Is the way the story unfolded. Breaking Bad seems more contained, like a single storyline. Dexter is more chapter-oriented. Maybe that's one of the reasons why BB's ending seems more powerful.

Oh right, forgot they are taking off tonight for tomorrow, although not sure why. If it aired on Monday then I could understand that, but tonight?I'm not American either but, apparently, it is taking the week off. Official reason seems to be for Labor Day Weekend?

I think both Dexter & BB are similar in that it (to me) was the evolution of a bad or good character to evolve into a good or bad character.
The writers of Dexter have done it horrible from Bad to good, or from bad to worse. BB going from good to bad is much, much better.
There are basic fundamental rules of writing a story that Dexter just isn't following.
It's not like she's gonna say "This is the WORST Dexter season, WE FAILED MISERABLY!!! The fans hate it!"uh..buhuhhuh *cough* buwu *splutter* hahaha! WHAT?

Which is why I don't get these weird comparisons.Forget the execution part of it, obviously BB is a better show, I just want to be clear on what you're saying here. I mean the whole point of Dexter is that he's a serial killer you route for, kind of superhero vigilante-esque. A Breaking Bad is just a straight up tragedy about a man who starts with good intentions and ends up on the road to hell. They're very different.

I don't think that's the same thing. It's convenient for him to do what he does, sure, but does that mean we're suppose to route for him as some kind of hero just because of that? I personally don't think so. If anything, I think that Dexter's constant struggle with his dark side as he becomes more and more humanized voids that idea. Personally, I think the show has always done a good job of painting what Dexter does as very gray and undefined as good or bad.
