SA and DR have been really smart in answering fans about Black Canary. Of course to us Black Canary is Dinah Laurel Lance but to the show, anyone can be Black Canary. Black Canary will return to the show but the chances of it being THE true Black Canary is slim to none.

Nice to see Katie back on the show. Even if it's Black Siren from Earth-2, maybe Oliver wants her to become the new Black Canary. Oliver may want to ask Barry about her.

My first thought was Flashpoint, but she could also be a hallucination resulting from the crossover.

That's Black Siren. A metahuman with a "canary cry" (aka sonic scream) who was a murderer (on a pretty major scale - demolishing entire buildings full of people) and second in command to the primary villain Zoom. Black Siren was imprisoned by The Flash, originally at STAR Labs, but she may have been moved to the dedicated / public prison for meta human criminals in Central City.

It *could* be Black Siren, but unless they write one heck of a redemption arc for the character, I'm not sure that Oliver will be interested in working with such a wilful murderer (i.e. it's not like this version of Laurel has a tragic backstory explaining her murdering past like Sara did).

Probably. Though it wont make sense with how he's let MM off the hook. But somehow I think she will leave Star City and end up getting whisked away by RF.

Laurel fans vs Felicity fans is probably more bitter and intense than any of Oliver's feuds with villains.

It's crazy that she was alive. I'm excited but confused as hell to how because Sara has been ineffective. However if her destiny was to die and be resurrected than qudos to the writers. Because when Sara went to Starling city of the future is the first time we see baby John and Oliver knew Laurel would die. If they actually planned this out consider my mind blown.

I wouldn't give them that much credit. I highly doubt that was the original plan. I am sure that even before the reaction, they planned for KC to make appearances, but if she is ever brought back full-time, it is because of the reaction from fans.

It has been hinted at a lot that she will betray him, so I don't see how it would be a surprise, or ruining what they have, as her being someone that he should not trust has been implied heavily from the beginning. Her being loyal to him would be a big surprise.

It was the best episode of the season, or at least one of them. Laurels cameos was the cherry on the cake and a great way to end on a positive note, as while a lot of the Prometheus stuff was badass and intense, it was dark and would have been a depressing way to end before the break. So far, it really seems the writers know what they are doing this season. Maybe Flashpoint had an effect on them.

I noticed this too. In an earlier episode, when Felicity's boyfriend was mentioned, there was no reaction from Oliver, which was a pleasant surprise. In the same episode, Oliver seeing Susan was mentioned, and Felicity did not react either. Guggenheim said there would be something for Olicity fans in this episode. I think it was the flashback of Oliver going to Felicity. If that is what counts as Olicity scenes this season, then things should be fine.

That pretty much says it wasn't an hallunication so it's eather laurel somehow resuurected because of flashpoint or time travel or it's black siren somehow.

I wouldn't be surprised if this "Laurel" ends up being that was Laurel's facial twin (or someone who's face that he had changed) that Prometheus found and convinced to come back and pose as the resurrected Laurel just so that he could further screw around with Oliver.
