Her being DA makes no sense at all.....
Laurel was more of a threat while she was CNRI then when she was an ADA when it came to criminals. That should've remained a huge part of the character and something that pushed her towards Black Canary.
They never bothered to reveal what happened to her but I'm pretty sure that she was taken back to E-X to face justice for her crimes.
This years crossover would've been the perfect time to show us (a) Laurel as Black Canary again. And if she ever suits up again, I wonder if she will get a bit of a makeover costume wise to showcase her new anti-hero stance.
Isn't Earth X overrun with Nazis though? It's essentially a Nazi earth. Why would she be facing justice for her crimes there? That's like sending a Nazi back to the Nazis. They're going to applaud her there, not lock her up.
I thought maybe she was locked up here somewhere on Earth 1. After all, Black Siren was locked up here. She didn't get sent back to Earth 2.
I always thought that Laurel was one of the best characters in season one of Arrow... I never really understood the hate that she received from the fans.
She never badmouthed the hero in season 1 though. She was actually one of the few who was on Arrow's side until they flipped that in season 2.They constantly had her bad mouth the hero of the show lol. I like(d) her but they didnt do anything to make the audience like her or be on her side (even if she was in the right). MG and co. drove her and that Laurel/Oliver relationship into the ground SO FAST I got whiplash lol.
Laurel, as a character, did have a very good storyline. The thing is, everybody was expecting Black Canary, and Laurel, as the comic book Black Canary, was far away from it as possible. And a lot of her fan base came from the Supernatural tv show expecting Ruby pt 2 (kickass blond, with good fighting skills and wearing black a lot of the times). I know I was one of those fans, and if you watch pre-season 1 interviews, you'll see the only thing they ask Katie Cassidy is about when is she gonna be BC, and that's it, ppl weren't insterested on the rest (I know cos I was one of those too). And by the middle of the season 1 she just became the girl who needed to be save (early in the season they gave a lot of hints towards her becoming a hero, but by the middle of it they dropped it).
So I do think a lot of the hate ended up coming from what ppl expected her character to be, but there wasn't that much hate yet until season 2. ,Season 2, well, we all know what happened from that point on...
She was good in s1. I never knew she got hate, but she's always been my favorite character on the show.I always thought that Laurel was one of the best characters in season one of Arrow... I never really understood the hate that she received from the fans.
Yeah, she did, to a non celebrity. Which is probably why it didn't get much attention.
Do we're finally supposed to get Sirens backstory next week and she'll be involved in another BoP episode.
Beth also stated they'll finally answer if Laurel can be redeemed or ho back to her old ways. Kind of worried they may turn her into s villain again.
