On one hand, what else can they really say, but it's low-key hilarious how all of these apologies are following the same format. Maybe there's a template somewhere that they just cut and paste.

Step 1: Post apology.
"It's come to my attention that my prior words/actions have hurt a lot of people for that I'm deeply sorry. I sincerely apologize that my words/actions have been misunderstood as that was not my intention. I only meant to be more positive. As a white (non black) person, I acknowledge my privilege and I know that I still have a lot to learn. I promise to do better in the future, be more informed and be a better ally. I stand with you. #blacklivesmatter :hrt::hrt::hrt:"

Step 2: Reblog/Retweet posts/tweets/stories about the rallies and/or racism awareness.

I came to say exactly that! Its true that I'm sorry about my past actions, at least if they did hurt someone bt really, I was immature and didn't know better!

I now identify as Black Nova Scotian and I ask you all to respect my life choices.

I will totally respect your choices now, I mean, they are like your choices and all but did you know God never meant for you to make this kind of choices?

I'm 1/4 Andorian.

Makes getting haircuts a real issue.

"No that's not head cancer. Those are undeveloped Antennae buds... Look just buzz it all off again, alright?"
I really like the idea that this is a question that comes up every time, and then you need to tell your barber to just buzz it all again every single time. :funny:

What, that doesn't sound sincere to you? :o

White Life Matter is trending again currently on Twitter and once again, the hashtag has been bombarded by K-Pop.

It's stunning to feel just how long 8 minutes and 46 seconds can be.......it just keeps going on and on. :csad:

How telling was it that Brees could go onto a show and spout his BS and act all kinds of defiant, but for some reason his apology had to be written out for him and he couldn't say it. It is almost like he couldn't fake the right tone to do it...

I was watching Mina Kimes on Highly Questionable earlier and she put it perfectly imo. Brees didn't even apologize for what was being discussed. It was all so generic, so obviously an attempt to avoid being painted as what he is, while trying to come off like an apology. But he never addressed the crap ton of BS in his original statement or how he cares more about a piece of cloth then human life or even the ideas that flag is apparently suppose to stand for. He did this exact same thing when he was questioned about his relationship with an anti-gay religious group. Look at me, my characters in impeccable. Do you think I would do anything bad to people? He ignores the very specific question and people let him off the hook for it.

Watching so many people on ESPN putting on their capes to try and protect this man, who at the very least has bigoted tendencies, is so gross.

Yeah when I read it (why am I reading it in text form) it came across phony.

Y'know, I was listening to one of my favorite guys, Keyshawn Johnson, on the local ESPN channel. Look, we have all said stupid things, BUT I loved what Keyshawn said when he was referring to the Denver Broncos coach saying that he didn't see racism in the NFL and then apologized. Basically, it was "Hey, don't apologize for what you said to me. If you said it, it probably wasn't the first time, so don't go walking it back." Man, I love that guy and would love even more to hang out with him for a day. He likes to cook about as much as I do and can afford better food. :argh: Most of all, I like his no BS attitude. Obviously, I don't know him personally, but everything I've heard from him says he's a really smart, grounded dude who doesn't pull any punches on anyone. Maybe the coach should have said "There's no racism in the NFL, we want to make money and throw all of them out when they're done."
