Disney's Frozen - Part 3

right.

you need a big voice to do the song.

plus, she was off on most ( if not all ) of the big notes.

also, it's not a song where you can just go through the motions and sing ( or try to ) the notes.

you have to put yourself in Elsa's position and convey the emotions she's experiencing while singing the song.

For anyone interested, there is a Frozen design on Qwertee right now. It'll be gone for good after tomorrow and will be an extra 2 dollars tomorrow, so order soon if you'd like it. :)

Former Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez (lost to Philip Philips) sang Let It Go and it was odd. She sang it in a different key or something.

I don't know if you guys noticed it, but they finally did the Honest Trailer treatment for Frozen.

Yes, there's even an Adele Dazeem jab in there too.

John Travolta is never going to live that down....but dang, he was asked afterwards for ET if he knew the actual pronunciation of the name, and he said yes.....BUT DIDN'T PRONOUNCE IT TO PROVE THAT HE COULD. He still had no idea how to pronounce it. And the guy looked like he was not totally lucid, he could barely open his eyes. Kelly was trying to answer all of the questions for him. Very strange...

The NY Post reported that her entourage was coaching him backstage on pronouncing her name before he went on, but he still got it wrong.

Thank god he didn't have to introduce Chiwetel Ejiofor...

I don't know, maybe he would have gotten that one right. I do think he was on some kind of medication. It could have very well have been a prescription he was on...but it did look like he was somewhat "not all there".

Wednesday #'s - $311,268 ($393,925,776)

Frozen's boxoffice run really does defy reason. Numbers are supposed to go down as time goes on, with the exception of long weekends and x-mas holiday season, but Frozen's Wednesday has increased 2 straight weeks now.

Feb. 26 - $246,519
March 5 - $265,912 (+7.9%)
March 12 - $311,268 (+17.1%)

Let It Go has climbed back up to the top 100 to #9, and the Frozen soundtrack seems to have returned to #1 spot as well.

More good news, the theater count for Frozen in the upcoming week is 1466, down just 194. This is absolutely astounding for a movie in its 17th week of release. Frozen should easily stay in the top 10 again.

what are the records for time spent in the top 10 again?

Yep!! :woot:

So, Kristen Bell says that she would totally play Anna on stage in Broadway if Disney invites her. She may be a little too old, but I don't care. That'd be great. Josh Gad also could easily reprise his role, as well.

I have a feeling that they will go with a different cast for the Broadway show.......

but I could be wrong.

Oh, and the girl, Majesty, who sang Let It Go on American Idol last night is in the bottom 3 tonight.

don't know if she will go home ( I hope not ), but apparently the audience didn't love her rendition of Let It Go.........

and I'm not surprised, because if you're going to sing that song, you've got to hit those big notes. and she was off last night.

also, I think we are all so "protective" of the song, and if it's not up to the standard Idina set for it in the film, we're going to be extra harsh......lol

The Sing a Long version of the movie is in a lot of theaters here in Houston....

Kristen Bell may not look like a teenager, but she still looks young and being that she's the voice of Anna in Frozen and can sing amazingly well, I think Disney might make her part of the original cast on Broadway. However, they better move fast and not take years to develop like they did for Aladdin, if Kristen is to have a chance to become Anna.

It looks like Frozen could be the monster hit in Japan many were expecting. Very early estimates have Frozen at $3m for Friday, which means a $10m weekend is possible.
10m may not sound like much, but for Japan that is an absolutely massive number, to put it in perspective no movie in 2013 opened that high, though usually there is 1 and sometimes 2 that do it.
Japan is known for long legs, 10x, and even 15x multipliers from opening weekends are quite common as movies can play for months. If it pulls off 10m opening weekend I'd bet $100m+ for Japan is almost certain.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s confirmation of nothing to announce for the 3D Blu-ray edition of Disney’s Frozen has made fans feel as though they were left out in the cold, with many resorting to order the 3D edition from overseas, amidst fears of ‘double-dipping.’ Although there has been no official announcement, marketing materials obtained by Stitch Kingdom have indeed confirmed plans for an October 2014 release of the 3D Blu-ray/DVD release of Frozen.

Stitch Kingdom is generally pretty reliable, if memory serves.
