Disney's Frozen - Part 3

Ah, okay thanks!

I do think that Japan as a culture has probably been suffering some sort of crisis. However, it looks like Frozen will become a mega hit in their country just like it did for China and South Korea.

Btw, Frozen came in #9 for the week. What an amazing staying power.

There is a crisis because there's a weird, very right-wing movement where there's a new generation of Japanese who want the country to get militarized again; and there was a case where this psycho was running around destroying copies of Anne Frank around town (I forgot which city.) And I think the Prime Minster is proactively trying to p*ss off South Korea too.

Is this all a reaction to the tsunamis a few years ago?

Wow, I guess the situation over at Japan is much more serious than I thought.

Yeah it's a weird nationalistic movement going on. I don't know what percentage of the population is supporting it; I'm assuming it's just a loud minority. But yeah, I see it as a reaction to the tsumanis that rocked the nation a few years ago.

Even if you look at the video game industry in Japan, it's strangely stagnant too. I think it's just their economy have suffered so they're just relying on sequels galore. What games are Capcom and Konami making these days? Besides Metal Gear, Castlevania, it's been slow. What about Namco?

I think that's why the handheld market is booming. The Japanese are making cheap innovative games on that sort of platform vs the current gen.

so it seems like Frozen fell out of the top 10 on Fri.

what's the list of the longest top 10 movie reigns?

ok....food for thought........

what happens to the Ice Palace now that Elsa's no longer there?

I know there's the post credit scene.

but, aside from that, would such a structure be able to maintain itself without the presence of Elsa's magic?

if it's permanent.....well.....hello Arendelle's newest tourist attraction!! :awesome:

[BLACKOUT]just watch out for the angry giant snowman creature[/BLACKOUT]

I think allthe stuff she constructs maintains its integrity unless she wills it not to.

probably true.

or unless she loses control of her emotions, like when she did at the beginning after the accident with Anna. ( 'Olaf' melted away ).

It was at the furthest point north, so there is no reason to think that it isn't still intact, minus one big chandelier.

yeah.......I bet Elsa's regretting she made that chandelier.......lol.

tv......

internet......

books........

smartphones.......

video game consoles..........

oh......and CHOCOLATE........(and you know....the Frozen sisters can't live without chocolate!!)

yep......seemed like a good idea at the time........:oldrazz:

I don't think they had the bolded ones in Arendelle for another few hundred years either. :oldrazz:

Elsa probably figured that once Anna becomes the new Queen, she will ship everything her sister needs using Amazon Prime's two-day delivery. :oldrazz:

minor details...............:o

but it does make you wonder........just what did/would Elsa do up there.......alone.......all by herself.............

Elsa: "Let It Go!! I'm Free!!"

5 hours later.......

Elsa: "...........I'm bored..........and craving chocolate. Oh, and I forgot to update my status on my Facebook page."

:oldrazz:

Well, food would certainly be an issue, since I presume she doesn't know how to hunt or butcher game. I suppose she could survive on raw fish from any rivers that might be nearby, if they aren't frozen over.

she could always unfreeze the frozen rivers..........:o

Sarah Brightman should totally do a cover of Let It Go and strip away all emotion from the song. :o

heh......that's exactly what that American Idol girl did when she sang it last week.........:o

So is there going to be a US steelbook release tomorrow for Frozen?

Finally watched this with my wife on Saturday. I have had "Let It Go" stuck in my head ever since (probably helps that I keep pulling the song up on YouTube).

Disney has really been on point in recent years. I am a lifelong Disney addict, and they have just been bringing high quality stuff.

No. There are Target, Wal Mart and Best Buy exclusives though. Target has a disc of extra bonus features, Wal Mart has two different bundles of the film with either Anna or Elsa's Disney Infinity character and Best Buy has "The Frozen Chronicles" journal that includes:

Early Visual Development Poster Art
Easter Eggs from the film
Fold-Out Map of Arendelle
Frozen Character Personality Finder
Costume Design
Animation Modeling Sketches
Movie Quotes
Receipes, Crafts, Games & More

I'm going for the Best Buy one, especially if the Blu-Ray + DVD +Digital combo pack (and Chronicles book ) is only $19.99!!
