Disney's live-action Pinocchio

I'm fine with that. Just please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO MOCAP.

I think it’s pretty cool. If it works it works. Now let’s see the models for monstro

I feel like they might water down Monstro severely though.

I'm wondering how they're going to water down the more horrific aspects of the book.

They'll find a way.

Can't wait to see Gepetto inside Monstro

Pinocchio: It's me Papa! (opens arms)
Gepetto: Ata'last I find'a mi bambino! (pushes Pinocchio aside, grabs and hugs soccer ball):oldrazz:

do we already know if it’s live action or.... Zemeckis typical uncanny animation?

So are they going to explain how Figaro and Gideon are both cats, but Figaro is a regular cat and Gideon walks upright, wears human clothes, and has human hands?

The coachman uplifted him.

I don't remember The Coachman which is appropriate given how bland an actor Luke Evans is. :o If The Coachman is memorable, I am sorry Coachman.

He‘s one of the most terrifying villains Disney has. He looks and acts like a pedophile.
And in addition to that he looks like a certain former POTUS...

The entire Pleasure Island sequence is nightmare inducing.

The amazing part is that none of the villains ever get their comeuppance. I kind of hope that doesn't change. All those kids who turned into donkeys, never got a happy ending.

There was a deleted scene in which Honest John and Gideon got arrested after trying to scam Pinocchio a third time. A few storyboards exist of the scene but that's it.

In addition, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who previously starred in “Flora and Ulysses,” will voice Pinocchio, the puppet who dreamed of becoming a real boy
This kid owned his role in The Haunting of Bly Manor. This is good casting.

When he turns into a real boy at the end *spoiler alert*, I'll be terrified of him pushing Tom Hanks in a well.

I'd really like to see this in theaters just to see the spectacle but yeah.

I'm kind of surprised they aren't aiming for a theatrical release on this one. It's definitely one of the most iconic of the classics - if not the most iconic of the golden Disney era. Above Dumbo in terms of spectacle for sure. Peter Pan I get going straight to Disney+ but I think this could do Jungle Book numbers if done right.
