They got the Sinister composer for this

Agreed. I feel that way about a lot of the choices I'm seeing in these polls and lists. Marvel seems to like their leads in the late-20s through mid-thirties range. Yes, there are exceptions (*cough* RDJ) and I do think Strange will be on the older side, but I see Marvel aiming for someone 35-45. Folks like Jason Issacs, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Daniel Day Lewis....they're just too old for this part. Even Viggo, although I'd make an exception for him.Love Jeff but he's really aged the last few years. Back in his Jurassic Park days, certainly.
From Bubble Boy to Prince of Persia to now doing the weirdest of character studies onscreen. I always respect those guys that come up from doing stupid **** to brilliant work moreso.
CBM says lots of things.
Devin Faraci says lots of things too. usually things that are meant to stir up the panic brigade.
Besides, "not an origin story" doesn't mean "you don't learn how he became whoever man", it just means the story doesn't focus on it.
And if you actually read the quote it's just that, the story opens up with him already in the role of Strange. They'll still reveal his origin, it just won't be the focal point of the film, which is smart.
I feel like if they are going to forsake a typical origin movie for Doctor Strange this is the way to do it as well. That kind of approach reminds me of Batman '89, especially if they reveal the origin through a flashback or something. I think that could work. Considering how much Feige likes Dr. Strange's origin I don't see Marvel omitting it entirely from the film.
I say Ioan Gruffudd.
Evans got another chance and owned it. Maybe Ioan could pull the same trick.
