Its an unorthodox pick but I think he'd be great. But I agree that the likelihood of him being cast are slim to none.

Oh I wouldn't have an issue with it at all, I'm just saying it has a negative 100% chance of happening.

Full Disclosure; I'm not that familiar with Dr. Strange. I just know the little I read about him on Wikipedia.

Viggo would have been an awesome choice some years ago, definetly.... but right now, tho it sounds sad, he seems a bit old to join a new solo franchise, in hopes to stay during 7-9 years

I'd actually like an older Strange, but I honestly don't know that much about the character.

Ejiofor has emerged as my top choice to play Apocalypse in the next X-Men movie.

Marvel would make an unorthodox casting choice if that character is a supporting character (see: Nick Fury, Hemidall), but when it comes to main heroes they would cast someone who resembles the comic book counterpart. And this policy is the way to go imo.

I generally agree. Although nick fury wasnt that unorthodox since the ultimate version of him was based on SLJ anyway.

Wow ! Good call. He was an amazing villain in Serenity.

I would love to see him in more bad-guy roles, the guy is such a good actor.

The problem with X films is that they have a tendency to give amazing actors really small roles, like McKellen, Stewart and Ellen Page were pretty much cameos in DOFP.

Now true, Macavoy and Fassbender were amazing, but it would be cool if an X-film had a smaller cast and spent more time on the characters.
Probably the strength of the first X-film is that we get more fleshed out versions of Xavier and Magneto.

Well if ejiofor was cast as apocalypse he'd better not have a small role considering he's the main villain lol

Plus during promotion of the movie, he and Fassbender can joke about how Ejiofor gets his revenge against Fassbender.

Ejiofor has to be Black Panther. He's by far the best choice

I've come around to the idea of Phoenix as Strange, I hope it happens

and i'm really hoping for trippy visuals/horror influence. The director is very encouraging. and the guy that's doing the score is the man.

Hopefully Dormammu is as terrifying as he should be

I agree with everything.

^^
Martha Plimpton for Captain Marvel....? That's reeeally outside the box. Like her as a performer, but..

I like Jessica Chastain. She's said in the past she'd like to work with Marvel, so make it happen.

I'm completely serious with the Plimpton suggestion. ;)

And if not her, Amber Rose. I'm convinced she has the power cosmic in those amazing thighs.

No way hell will Marvel cast a black actor to play Doctor Strange.

99.999% unlikely, but I will throw my hat in there for Pedro Pascal. The guy just oozes charm and charisma and really, it's not his fault the character was "defaulted" to Caucasian when he was created. No need to punish a perfectly worthy actor.

Come on, white people, don't be greedy :)

Luke Evans wouldn't be bad.

t like Zach Quinto for Starnge but it'll probably never happen. The man also came out and although no one will admit the studio worries about that to. Sure their have been gay actors in supporting roles but not carrying a big budget film. Strange is a solo character and not on a team. His movie will have all the focus on him.

Phoenix is a good choice but it seems him and marvel can't come to an agreement. I say move on.

Yeah. I like the guy, but I also don't view him as the end-all, be-all of acting the way some people do. I absolutely hated him in The Master; I don't care how much praise people heaped upon his performance (and I usually love Paul Anderson's films). So if he's too apprehensive, then fine. Move on and get the ball rolling. There are plenty of other actors out there who would be just as good if not better.
