Jack Huston, in this users humble opinion, would be a really good fit into the MCU as Doctor Strange.

Who is this guy again?

Plays Richard mother****in Harrow on Boardwalk Empire.

Who is this guy again?

He is from Boardwalk Empire, Outlander, American Hustle, Twilight and Night Train to Lisbon (in which he also played a doctor).

He is also of the Huston acting/directing family. Jack's uncle Danny Huston played William Stryker in Wolverine Origins.

Never thought of JH for the role, but now it makes perfect sense

I've seen him on stage, he's pretty damn good. I'd be happy if Huston gets the role

Great, another white guy :o

Richard Harrow was a bad mofo character but for some reason I just do not care for the actor in anything else.

I forgot he was in that movie.

I thought this was actually a new crossover superhero team:

....starring Rocket Raccoon, Lois Lane, Batman, Mystique, and Hawkeye.

....and now also (potentially) featuring Dr. Strange. :o

I've been rooting for Colin Farrell for the role. He was poison for a while and the Total Recall reboot and Winter's Tale certainly didn't do him any favors, but he has an almost McCOnaughey like comeback before McConaughey. He had In Bruges and Seven Pyschopaths, both awesome. Despite the overall movie, he had great performances in Ondine, London Boulevard, Dead Man Down, and The Way Back. Small but great roles in Doctor Parnassus, Crazy Heart, and yes even Horrible Bosses. He pretty much stole the show in Saving Mr. Banks and that starred Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. I think he would be great as a former d-bag turned enlightened hero

You forgot Triage.:cwink:

Why do I feel many of the suggestions are based entirely on whether or not they have facial hair? ;)

Jack Huston was fantastic on Boardwalk Empire

That's usually the thing around here. Bald actor's for bald roles, goatee'd or mustached actors for like roles and so on, unfortunately.

Joaquin Phoenix would bring something crazy and unique to the role. That being said there was never a chance he'd take it, I think. I also liked the idea of Jared Leto based on how much star power he's being garnering recently, he'd put a lot of meat in the seats.

Why enter into negotiations for it if he never had any interest?

He was in negotiations for it? I thought that all amounted to nothing but a rumor. Clearly I'm uninformed haha.

I had no idea that's his uncle in Origins. :wow: I mean I've heard of his aunt, but never knew his uncle. Heh, small world. Haha. I guess solidary acting runs in the family.
