Doctor Strange Casting Poll

I could see Dempsey pulling off Strange well. I guess it all falls on what direction Marvel wants to go in.

Not a bad pick actually. I like that. Depp is the obvious choice that I see many would go with and Strange seems like a character he could slip comfortably into. I really can't see Depp as any superhero except for Strange or Sandman.

Like both of these guys as well, although I'm not sure Marvel would cast EC as Strange to carry a solo movie. I could see him cast and a part of an Avengers flick. I'd go with Dempsey if they do a solo flick first.

If it's true a Strange flick is coming in 2014 then I suspect Disney is gonna want to cast someone with some form of Star power. Strange is an Obscure character outside of comics. Here some choices that may work although I'm pretty sure it's gonna be someone cast out of left field and not mentioned at all here like Keaneu Reeves.

1.Patrick Dempsey: he's on a hit show that has a large cast so he can be worked around for shooting. He's also been rumored to have interest in the role. He won't be that expensive.

2.Depp: maybe but he'd be too expensive but he would pretty much make it a hit. This one of the few roles where I can see him working. Boy he would drive up the budget if they wanted to use Strange in an Avengers sequel.

3.Jim Caviezel: He's a good choice but is tied down with a hit tv show where it centers around him.

4. Luke Evans: He could do it but I'm not sure he could carry a solo flick but you never know.

5.Zach Quinto: Someone suggested him before and I could see him working.

I'm going to stick with Guy Pearce for Dr. Strange. He is a MUCH better actor than anyone mentioned aside from Depp, Brody and Neeson.

Dempsey is a pretty weak actor in my opinion.

Pearce could work very well, certainly better [imo] than Dempsey. Now this is the point were I wouldve previously said that GP wouldnt be in a 'lowly' comicbook movie [hasnt he said something like that in the past?] but he's since starred in Lockout so maybe given that he's embraced the whole sci-fi action thing he's now changed his attitude, especially when you see some of the names you get in CBM's nowadays.

Yet another good fit.

One thing I'm learning here is that, unlike certain other comicbook roles, at least Stange is at least going to be an easier one to cast looks-wise.

I love Liam Neeson. He's an absolutely fantastic actor. But i don't want to see him as Strange. I think he's too old. Yes Strange isn't all that young but Neeson's 60. i think it would be ideal to go with someone younger than that so it leaves years of deccent age open for a sequel or a tie in with the Avengers films or hell the Defenders even.

I also don't want Depp to take the part. When i see his characters they seem less believable since he's in so much that i have seen. He's a great actor, don't get me wrong, i just have my fingers crossed for someone a little less Hollywood's "Walk of Fame"

To be honest this is one character I really don't care who they cast as long as he captures Strange and does the role justice.

Adrian Brody is the guy I see getting the role most. I'm not saying he'll do the best job, but I see him getting the role most likely.

He is a strong actor and he has a fair amount of name recognition, but not so much so that he overpowers the role like Depp might. He has had the lead role in some big blockbusters, but not enough to where he is out of Marvel's price range. Lastly, he has a great look for Strange. He is one of the faces for the new Gillette ad campaign and he really has a great look for Dr. Strange.

Adrien Brody would be acceptable. Again he is a FAR superior choice to Patrick Dempsey, who seems to be a fan favorite for some odd reason.
