Well that's just amazing.

...and is that Ian McShane I spy on the left?? Because McShane in the MCU? YES PLEASE.

It makes me want an alternate MCU set in the 70's (Marvel Grindhouse), populated by Strange, Werewolf by Night and Tarantino's Power Man and Iron Fist.

a seventies period piece could be awesome for strange. hell, they could do a parallel story like in the oath, have an older modern day strange played by liam neeson and a younger strange back in the seventies played by someone else.

Good lord, not for Mordo, though, please. I luh-huv McShane, but the dude's 70 years old, and he plays tough-as-nails badasses, not sinister Slavic sorcerers.

Dr. Strange - ED QUINN: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0703831/. I chose him because of his look, height, wit, and his presense in the T.V. Show. From the very first episode he screamed "DR. STRANGE". He is very capable of pulling off this role with ease.

Baron Mordo - JASON MOMOA: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0597388/. Okay, so I know I will get flack for this choice, but honestly, this guy really looks the part. Granted he did an okay version of Conan. He seems able to pull of angry, menacing, and vengence.

The Anchient One - JAMES WONG: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0393222/. This was easy. I've always thought of him as this character anyway.

Dormammu - FRANK WELKER: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0919798/. Think it's only fair. He was wrongfully not used as MEGATRON. This guy has thousands of voices, he has to have Dormammu in there somewhere.

Wong - CHOW YUN-FAT: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000334/. If I really need to explain why he's perfect, I will. Even when he fights, he has this flouid serenity about him, calm.

Clea - NATASHA HENSTRIDGE: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000449/. So actually casting her was the hardest. I looked through several actresses, then just happened to look at species recently. Given the right role she could channel her inner; Sigorney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, She-ra... lol

The Sci-Fi Channel presents an Asylum movie: 'Strange Doctor'

Why thank you. :D

The sad thing is that I'd still watch it though.

I like Cavezial for the role, but 'Anson Mount' form the F/X show Hell On Wheels, would be good too.

someone posted in the Avengers forums, about a week or so ago, that Benedict Cumberbatch was rumored to be in negotiations with MS for the role.
I have no idea how much truth is in this rumor, but I like the idea very much.
i think your on the right track but wrong film.there was a picture posted of cumberbatch at marvel studios and guess what there was tons of spiderman pictures and comics in the room.we know the spiderman sequel has a release date already.what if cumberbatch is the green goblin he would fit in that role

That would be a historically unique waste of talent

he and writer/producer Steven Moffat (Sherlock, Tintin, Doctor Who, Jekyll, Coupling) were holding large stacks of comics...the Spider-Man ones were likely there to throw people off the trail...or the pair might just be massive Spidey fans like most of the comic book world..MS or in the of case of Spider-Man Marvel Entertainment doesn't do the casting for the films they're only there as a creative outlet..there's plenty of characters Ben could be playing

BARON ZEMO: Ben has an excellent booming voice playing Smaug in the Hobbit and both Dr. Frankenstien/The Monster in the Danny Boyle (28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting) play, so if they hide Zemo's face he'll be able to give personality to him. He also loves playing villains as he's likely playing a new version of the iconic Khan in Star Trek 2. Captain America 2 is going to need an actor as talented as Hugo Weaving this round.

DOCTOR STRANGE: Cumberbatch has a large enough niche fanbase from Sherlock that they'd support a Strange film. Not to mention I assume that Steven Moffat is a writer who can really make some excellent re-writes on the level of Whedon on the script. He's never directed a thing so it's unlikely they'd try to wrangle him into directing it.

BALDER THE BRAVE: He can be as intense as Hiddleston and could bring some class/tention to Asgard. Ben is regal and as the production is headed to London they'll need to cast a slew of European actors to play the new Asgardians. Feige has stated they'd be doubling the Asgard population so expect more talent being announced. Loved his intensity and speech in War Horse I could see him rally troops with Odin-like gravitas.

ANT-MAN: Steven Moffat and Ant-Man writers Edgar Wright/Joe Cornish worked together on Tintin. If this is indeed going to be a high-tech spy film as Edgar has promised. Ben has already played a spy in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy and could pull off both Pym or Lang.

Cumberbatch was at Marvel COMICS (important distinction...*not* the Studios) to do a podcast on Sherlock Holmes. Like Christopher_M said, he was probably just geeking out about Spidey comics and getting a quick behind-the-scenes look....has nothing to do with movies or casting.

Cumberbatch is great as Strange, and Wong will be his Watson.
