That would be interesting. My top pick is still David Tennant because he has the look, the skill, the ability to make the amazing believable and the desire to be in the Marvel U but Sheen is really cool too.

In fact, Sheen would probably work really well with a Neil Gaiman script. Not sure what makes me say that but I reckon he would

Daniel Day Lewis would be phenomenal. I imagine he could ignite this role.

Johnny Depp would do okay.

He is not a new or fresh look at all. He's been seen so much in Quantum Leap, Star Trek Enterprise and recently Chuck. If anything, he's rather an old and stale choice.
