edit: I feel like he ripped off my Slender Man poster

How 'bout Jude Law?

Jude recently confessed to being a big comic book geek during an interview, and says that he'd be very happy to get involved in the right CBM.

I think Marvel should try to pin him down for Dr. Strange or Hank Pym.

You know, that could actually work. I was just thinking about that a while ago that he could possibly be on Marvel's watch in the near future since he worked with RDJ before. It could be a possibility either way, I'd be satisfied if he ends up playing Dr. Strange or Hank Pym.

I just popped in to suggest Law for Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme would be a better fit for Law than Hank Pym, IMO. Wright might be better positioned to snag him for Ant-Man, however, if he's not still stuck on stupid Scott Lang instead of Pym. Law has the appropriate gravitas for Strange and the charisma to carry off the Master of the Mystic Arts mantle. The fact that he already sports the right facial hair is a plus. He would look great in tights and a cape, too. :word:

good lord no! law is like a charisma black hole, completely unwatchable in most of his movies and not a good fit for strange at all.

Most people (myself included) would strongly disagree with you. He's a classically trained actor who still gets rave reviews for his work in Shakespeare and other theater, and most critics agree he stole the show from RDJ in the Sherlock movies.

he still should stick to what he does best: ruin Michael Caine classics

Theatre training is a plus but doesn't give an automatic pass for a role either if they don't fit it.

I highly disagree with you on Law's charisma, however I agree he isn't a good fit for Dr. Strange.

Based on Marvel casting Chris Pratt for GotG, I'd say anything goes. Whoever they pick for Strange is probably going to be a bit of a surprise.

No Fassbender mentioned? I'm shocked.

In other news: Ringo Starr was just announced for Dr. Strange.

....(or not)

I think Oded Fehr or Liam Neeson could make a good Dr Strange but to be honest i prob wouldnt go see it. Dr Strange just isnt all that interesting to me. I think Oded Fehr's voice would really put him ahead.

Optimus, no offense meant by this as this is a genuine question - why would someone post to share their view on something that they have no interest in? I mean, there are tons of threads on the Hype about things that dont interest me, but I never feel the need to post in them...... as I said, it's a genuine question and there's no malice or offense meant by my post - I'm just really intrigued.

Well, what do you suggest he do with all of his free time?

As for the thread topic, how about Timothy Oliphant? That guy is an awesome actor and he's extremely charasmatic.

Richard Armitage just occurred to me as a good choice for Doctor Strange. He is in the right age range, has the right look and definitely has the charisma and acting chops for the role. Armitage also has worked with Marvel, albeit in a minor role in Captain America. Very few people will remember him from that so it won't be a big deal.

I dunno, maybe something as radical as post in a thread/s that he does have an active interest in? Way I see it is it's like walking into a room, announcing you have no interest in that room and then just leaving.

There's no real point to it.

I really like TO so I could certainly see that. Truth be told, unlike other comicbook characters the good thing for us is that there are a handfull of viable candidates that would make for a good Strange.

i'm backing Viggo Mortensen - i'm betting that he could do a really interesting vincent price impression
