Yeah that's the issue with me too. I can see clearly until 3 inches in front of my face.

I pay to get the expensive high-quality lenses because otherwise, they would be a lot thicker than they are. Unfortunately, I don't think $10 glasses will work for us. $10 glasses work for people who need essentially reading glasses. Not many people have eyesight as bad as I do.

Luckily, my prescription hasn't changed since high school (I'm 29 now), I take very good care of my glasses and I don't do crazy ****. My last pair lasted for 5 years before they were so scratched up I figured I should get a new pair. I'm babying my current pair and they aren't scratched up at all after 3 years.

I can see about a foot in front of me before it gets blurry and they work for me. But they've worked for me for a few years now and I hate hearing people have had to pay a few hundred to get one pair.

A foot is far better than 3 inches!

I've never had to pay more than $300 for my glasses, and I take very good care of mine so actually, it isn't even worth it for me to have vision insurance because I don't get new glasses that often. Getting new glasses every year is a ridiculous notion for me. I've had my current ones for 3 years and they almost look like new, aside from the slightly gunky nosepads.

But if your prescription changes or if you break them often, I can definitely see how it might be worth it for someone. (Plus I always forget what my exact prescription and pupil distance is...)

My boss does that, except he does that whenever my sister in law is out. She's the head of our team and he thinks that just because she is out, the rest of us suddenly don't have anything to do.

Not at my job, half of the time the managers don't even give a ****. And if they do make you do something, and you finish it quickly, you still have to find something else to do; to the point where you're just going around in circles trying to make the hours go by faster.

I hate that my father is going through chemo and is just wasting away. He's 5'3" and has worn the same size 32 pants since high school. He did not have a lot of body mass to lose and now he's getting so thin. The really hard part is that, unlike my mother who went through chemo and had a mastectomy in 2011, I just don't see him coming out of the other side of this alive. I hate that he most likely will go through all this pain and it all not matter one damned bit.
