Yeah that's the issue with me too. I can see clearly until 3 inches in front of my face.
I pay to get the expensive high-quality lenses because otherwise, they would be a lot thicker than they are. Unfortunately, I don't think $10 glasses will work for us.$10 glasses work for people who need essentially reading glasses. Not many people have eyesight as bad as I do.
Luckily, my prescription hasn't changed since high school (I'm 29 now), I take very good care of my glasses and I don't do crazy ****. My last pair lasted for 5 years before they were so scratched up I figured I should get a new pair. I'm babying my current pair and they aren't scratched up at all after 3 years.
I can see about a foot in front of me before it gets blurry and they work for me.
