I hate it when people give me a weird look because I'm not much of a coffee drinker in the morning, where is it written that people must have a cup of coffee in the morning? There are other things to drink you know.

I take half a pot in the morning.

I hate that my DM group is so narrowminded when it comes to our campaign. The Gods in our setting are all about following after their whimsy. Their followers are, thus, encouraged to indulge in whatever they like so long as they're honest about it. So, you could have clerics, paladins, and whole towns of people who would be considered evil by our civilized standards. It throws off that blasted allignment system, apparently.

I hate that I feel like I have to keep my academic life and personal life separate. My school friends are from Chicago and much more outspoken liberals than my conservative, white suburban family. My school friends are made up of a black woman, an Asian woman and a transgendered man. He is female to male.

My graduation is coming soon and since only 4 guests are allowed to attend the ceremony, Dad suggested I invite them to our house for a party. That is a God awful idea. I can only imagine the cheap shot jokes that my family would make. Just today Dad saw a news item about Bill Cosby and said "The blacks didnt like him because he told the truth about them." I can only imagine how my black (potential girl)friend would react to that.

My dad isn't as bad anymore, but when I was in high school he found out I was friends with someone who was gay and asked me why I would want to be friends with "people like that".

I bit my tongue from telling him that I am "people like that".

I got a check in the mail from a friend after I got a ticket for going through a red light. Dad was impressed that someone would actually pay for their portion and he asked if she was single. I said "Kind of. One of the passengers isnt monogamous." He and other assembled people were shocked and wondered what the world was coming to.

I cringe at the idea of the old man being in the same room as my friends.

I hate that I hurt my back. I've been doing 12 hour shoot days the past week and yesterday I ran out of my Vicoden. I hit my pain limit last night and now I feel like I'm going to die. I still get to do a bunch more 12 hour shoot days. My school has a zero tolerance policy for absences. I'm not happy.

It's possible to disconnect your opinion of someone's art from their behavior.

I hate that I really want to get back into art but don't know how to go about it.

As is the case with most things in life, the best way to get back into it is to just do it, no matter what the scale. I often have the struggle with myself where I want to get back into it, but only if I can do a complete work that I'll be proud of, which is the wrong mentality. Sometimes you just need to put pen to paper and warm up with whatevr you can before the real inspiration comes. So just start small with some doodles or something and let it flow from there.

After awhile it gets annoying though. It seems you're not allowed to criticize anything anymore, even for valid reasons. Just need to ignore certain posters I guess.
