Don't Hate The Hater, Hate The Hate! - - - - - - Part 18

I hate that consoles don't have better game support for those wanting to use mouse and keyboard.

I hate that I'm one of the few people that still care about mp3 players.

Well, most people just use their phones nowadays. Get the right phone, and you'll have all the battery life and space you need for your music...

Unless they're like me and they have 72GB worth of music, audiobooks, and radio plays. The iPodClassic was my only choice.

I hate stores when checking out that always ask for a phone number, e-mail, or push their store credit card... you can save this much if you sign up now.
I still pay for petty stuff with cash, can't track me! :argh:

I hate the uncertainty I'm facing in the next few months. I'm supposed to sign up for the second semester of my film school to make my thesis film. However, my film school's parent college is constantly interfering with the curriculum, which strips me of both my education and creative freedom. I have a house I can move into Phoenix whenever I want, and I could start building my film career from there, but at the same time I've invested a lot of time into this Film School program and I don't know if I should leave. Lots of thinking to do I guess.

I'm a PC gamer... :)

I'd like to get into consoles, but I just cannot, for the life of me, get to grips (figuratively and literally) with console controllers...

I prefer a controller for fighting games.

But for an FPS style game? Keyboard and mouse all the way. Much easier, faster, and more precise to aim with a mouse for me.

That's the one I plan on getting soon.

I hate snakes, except for Kaa from "The Jungle Book", because he's an animated idiot.

I also can't stand heights. If I'm in a building higher than three stories, I avoid windows like the plague.

Another thing that bothers me is the overuse of words like "tolerance", "offensive", and "phobia". If you oppose anything even remotely controversial, many assume the only reasons you'd ever have are hate or fear. They also assume you must either be stupid, manipulative, or both.

What bugs me the most about such discussions though, is their often-arbitrary nature. For example, consider the whole "Merry Christmas" debate. There's nothing inherently malicious or mean-spirited about that greeting, yet many won't return it because they're afraid of offending people who don't believe in Christ. Personally, I think its really foolish to try and avoid offending everyone all the time, because such attempts are ultimately impossible. So, my basic rule is this: say what you mean, mean what you say, and don't concern yourself with how politically-correct people react to non-malicious remarks or behaviors.

I can't imagine being offended by someone saying "Merry Christmas" to me, even if I didn't celebrate it. There's nothing offensive about it. I wouldn't be offended if someone told me to have a Happy Kwanza (though I might raise an eyebrow).

Irrational fear
That bugs me too

I reply with a smile and a thank you, you too

But most phones now hove lots of internal memory, and take SD cards. So it's easy to slip in another 64GB.

That being said, I did prefer my old iPod video in the car since I can use the clickwheel by touch, and not have to look at a touchscreen. But since you can't put Pandora on an iPod, I don't anymore.

Why the f**k would you bother with that crap anyway?

If you HAVE to have an MP3 player, get a touch.

Get an old gen touch for cheap.

Because I bought my ipod video when it was new and it still works just fine. :p

And, like I said, it's much nicer to be able to use a classic while driving because I can navigate using the clickwheel through feel. I don't have to look down at a touchscreen like the iPod Touch requires. And the touch wouldn't work anyway since I'd want to use it while driving and it only has wifi. So there's never been a reason for me to get a touch.

WFT are you talkin' bout?

It doesn't only have wifi. You could plug it right into the car radio with an adaptor or whatever.

Unless you still rockin' an 8-trax. :o

how the hell am I supposed to stream pandora on an ipod touch while driving?!

We still talkin' Pandora? You couldn't have done that if they magically put it on your old busted ass iPod. You do with a touch the same you'd do with the other one, which is put music on it. Also movies, games, etc.

Just dump some tunes on there, put it on shuffle, and chillax. :o

Which is exactly what I WASN'T talking about doing.

So you've completely missed the point of my posts.

So just stop talking now.
