The trailer looks like those crappy LOTR knock offs they threw out quickly to capitalise back in the early 2000's, or maybe something written by Christopher Paolini.

But some of it looks good and Duncan Jones means the film will have some merit to it in various areas. So I'll give it a watch.

Man of Steel is one of my favourite movies ever. Believe me when I tell you I've learned to tune negativity out.

Also, I don't know what the hell it is with Universal/Legendary's effects house, but between Jurassic World and Warcraft, the CGI is complete **** in their films.

It does look a bit better than the Hobbit trilogy, for whatever its worth. I'll probably be seeing this one too.

Irrational hatred? Sometimes I'm sure but regarding the Warcraft trailer? Nah my dislike (not hatred) is very rational.

I have even said if Universal releases another trailer that's actually decent to me then I will be cool and back to looking forward to the film. Irrational is my saying that the film is 100% guaranteed to suck and that the bad trailer couldn't just be a botched piece of marketing by Universal.

This isn't one of those cases where it's a poor trailer, but the content itself manages to look great in spite of the trailer (which was the consensus on DoFP teaser). It's that the content of this trailer looked bland in a lot of places and bad in the rest.

Yes, it's a matter of opinion, and no, it doesn't mean the entire movie will be bland or bad. But so far, looking back through the thread... that is the big impression left by the trailer. And even then, all those people have said "Ouch... Hopefully when we see more it will look better" and not "OMG worst thing ever the movie is a flop!".

Nothing irrational about any of that.

So thinking about this some more, I've come to the conclusion that the CGI isn't terrible. The problem is the overly exaggerated Orcs do not look natural next to their real human counterparts. They should have either gone all CGI or made the Orcs look more natural.

For me, its that you have the lady whom I would guess is half-orc half-human. She looks out of place next to the orcs.

I am done-done. I’m hoping and looking forward to potentially working on an indie sci-fi thing of my own quite soon. We’re ready to roll. We were really excited by the move to the date in June that we’re on now because it’s the same day that Jurassic World came out. From my perspective, I think that’s a good sense of Universal’s faith in us. Originally, we were on this December date, and then Star Wars came and sat on it. If you know me online, you know that Rian [Johnson] and I have a very good-humored rivalry about his Star Wars movies what I’m doing with Warcraft. I’m pretty much done, and I’m excited to potentially squeeze in another indie before I come back for more.

A producer as well said it was done.

Exactly. They are not going to spend an additional 7 months worth of man hours on this for a spit and polish job.
