I put $2 billion+ in the poll. High expectations were met!
Same here. Glad we were right.

In comparison to the dailies of JW, if it keeps up, TFA can make at minimum $13 million domestically. But TFA's dailies have been surpassing so it seems TFA will finish it's domestic run over $940 million.
They should really consider doing a extended scene release next year. They could easily do another $60 minimum.
What does a BB8 Wallet look like?I actually impulse purchased a BB-8 wallet less than a week ago.
So the film made it to 2 billion. As I said before, all of the wouldbe blockbusters wish they could hit 2 billion.
I didn't even know Gods of Egypt had an IMAX release. Deadpool took over the IMAX screens around here a few weeks ago and that's being replaced by Zootopia this week, with Batman v. Superman taking its place in three weeks. Still, The Force Awakens had a good two month run here in IMAX. Around me, they're only down to 3-4 showings a day for Star Wars and it's already gone from some theaters. Forget a re-release, I say bring on the Blu-ray already.
Slightly off topic but I have no idea what my local theater is doing. They still have Gods of Egypt on IMAX. I thought that would be an instant pull after it's first week. Who knows. Star Wars is still on one 2D screen however.
I thought IMax was only 3d? I didn't think there was regular 2d when it comes to IMAX?
Well, Gods of Egypt is in IMAX 3D. This coming from Friday, 1o Cloverfield Lane takes over the screen but it is not in 3D. I also remember watching most of the Nolan films on IMAX and none of those were in 3D.
At least in my market, TFA started screening in the second run "dollar theaters" today. If this is nationwide, I would be very curious to see it's box office grosses this weekend.
I don't intend to be mean, but there seems to be a lot of things you aren't aware of when it comes to this stuff. How old are you? I grew up with a 2 dollar show near my house. I thought it was a common knowledge thing.Like how many dollar theaters are there even around? I had never heard of such a thing in till like a years ago when people where talking about it one here.
Its still playing at the movie theater a block from my office. It never left.
I was in such a bad mood from BvS, I almost went back and saw that again last night.
Sadly, the closest second run theater is half hour away. Probably can still find Deadpool in town, though...

A dollar for a movie to seemed crazy like I don't know how they would stay open crazy.
I am 26 and dollar theaters cant be that popular and common if I had never heard of them for the longest time. A dollar for a movie to seemed crazy like I don't know how they would stay open crazy.
