Episode 04 Discussion - "Collision" | October 16

This one really kept the big kick the show got in Ep3 going.

So much going on,so entertaining,Nikki's inner Hulk is badass, future Hiro looks cool.

I just hope not everyone starts donning black, which would be very typical.

THIS SHOW IS DA BOMB, "PUNN INTENDED,":D  AND FUTURE HIRO LOOKS AWESOME!!! THE CHEERLEADER, DUDE, WHAT A WAY TO BRING CRIME TO A SUDDEN STOP, AWESOME!!! NEXT WEEK LOOKS EVEN BETTER!!! :D

Wow, Hiro learns perfect English and carries around a Katana. From Comic Geek to Badass.

Hope that rapist football *****e is dead.

Millar and Gough wish they could write like this:o

then next week nathan would fly once for the whole season but forget he even flew in episode 6 plus the budget would be all gone ;) :D

seriusly that episode blew me away!

save the cheerleader hmm do you think they mean shes important cuz she can heal other people by other people i mean the other heroes?

meaning if they were to ever face sylar they can use clair to heal them and theyd be back and ready to fight.

just thinkin about it.

Cool episode, but Hiro is too powerful. Like, way too powerful. He's just learned about his powers and he's able to stop time, swap playing cards without any parties knowing, and he's able to teleport (or move, whatever) other people. So he could technically teleport a knife into someone's heart.

But nevertheless, a cool episode indeed.

but see, thats why Hiro has the power. He has morals and the heroic sense of right and wrong (it took Spider-man to convince him to cheat lol). If anyone should have uber-powers, it should be Hiro. But really, how much more powerful is Hiro than Miss Invincable, or Stripper Hulk or (in reality) Peter's powers, much less Sylar.

I just decided to tune into this show tonight out of idle curiosity.

I watched it tonight out of mild curiosity. Moves like a three-legged turtle, doesn't it? I could've built a house out of graham crackers by the time this thing was over.

I liked the Japanese guy and hey, at least I saw a little vigilante justice from Ally McBeal's daughter at the end - that was cool. The politician is a skeevy dick. Kinda wondering when the "Heroes" of the title finally show up. Maybe next year, once the characters are settled into their abilities?

So uh, is the cheerleader's dad evil? The preview for next week sure made it seem that way.

i agree, i hope they introduce some kind of drawback or weakness to his powers.

Well seeing how he can stop time, he can pretty much change history. Someone dies, he goes back to save them. His powers are potentially the most dangerous out all of them.

um, things are moving pretty quickly. any faster and the show would seem rushed, IMO. and hiro has already become a hero. the others are showing signs of heroism.

Well he has to strain or think real hard....

he seem to have a weakness, when it comes to taking a fist to the face, why couldn't or didn't he freeze time went that was happening lol
he should’ve stopped time and turned the guy to a wall as he was about to punch him lol
I just hope he learns how to use his power with out making that (I’m take a dump) Face lol

The drawback is he's just one man. He also can't change too much history since he could keep himself from being born, plus that's not what hero's do.
If anyone can negate powers then they'd be immune to his direct intervention so he'd have to function as a sort of chess master.

Anyway the show's too cool, I finally have a reason to watch TV again.

edit: He also has to concentrate to use his powers and I haven't seen him exist in two places at once so that may also be a drawback, or this is so minor an incident that future hiro didn't think it important enough to change

This episode was awesome. Claire crashing the car was crazy and Hiro in bad ass samurai form speaking fluent english makes me look forward to next weeks episode more than ever...

6 years and counting :D been there since the night it premiered

anyways. I'm wondering what happend to the cop

did he get a memory wipe?

is there a "evil group" to fight the heroes( maybe that will stop hiro in his track)

so far we've got sylar, and the black guy and claires dad

I'm lovin' this show. Future Hiro looks badass. One thing that's confusing me though is it didn't seem like Hiro knew Ando could speak english in Vegas, but he should know that, loved the Rain Man shot though. I wonder how far into the future Hiro came from. Liked Claire using her powers for "evil". Wonder why/where/when Niki got the half DNA tattoo.

Bishop2, stay with Smallville or the CBS Monday night comedies, they're probably more your speed, easy disposable plots that are resolved in one episode with no lasting effects.

He obviously can't use his power in a split second...If you had the ability to stop time and such, and someone was speaking in a language you didn't understand, and some big scary blackman came up to you, I doub't you'de vbe able to react in time to dodge that.

but he's still learning. when he masters his power he'll be unstoppable. they have to introduce some sort of drawback, or there's no reason he can't go back in time and stop everything from going to hell. maybe he tries, and it alters the future dangerously more. maybe they'll do an episode of him learning the consequences to his power.

Future Hiro rocks. Theough, It seems a little sketchy that the one Asian character eventually gets a katana. :woot:

Well, he's obviously going to be around for many years, and he has the ability to travel back in time, so maybe they can't stop the doom from comming (like I've said before) so he freezes time, or speeds it up to where he won't be harmed, pulls a 'terminator' and comes back to warn them.

Only thing is, the writers clearly know about the whole 'space time continuaum' because they don't have Hiro talking to Present Hiro.

Well the comic shows that he has deep respect for his ancestory.
