Episode 04 Discussion - "Collision" | October 16

Some of you people are really, really, really, really, really, really easily impressed.

The only good part about this episode was Hiro getting hit in the face. I like Hiro, but that was comedy. And there as nothing "OMG!! Awesome!" about future Hiro. "You look different without your scar." What? Seriously? That's some pretty bad writing. "Peter has a scar in the future!!! Holy Sheyat, the future must be wicked scary." Who the hell is stupid enough to say that to someone's panicking past self when you're trying to keep them calm. The only thing you're going to do is make the fact that time has stopped even more horrifying.

Nikki's 'Hulk', felt about as threatening as acne. I didn't like Nikki/Ali to begin with, but this pathetic attempted at being 'bad-ass' makes me hate her more. Her "You're different" interaction with her son was something else we could have done without. Terrible.

Claire killed the rapist, finally something to like about her. We need someone who doesn't have a problem with killing people. Claire>Nikki/Hulk

Nathan, yawn. Shuresh, yawn. Peter's love triangle with FuturePaint, boring. She's not even that attractive. It's really hard to like anyone in this show apart from Hiro.

People have compared it to Lost, it's far, very far, very very very far from being anywhere near as good as Lost. And someone said it puts Smallville to shame, then Smallville must be one of the badly written, boring shows ever made and I'm glad I never view it as anything more than Superman trying to be Spider-Man.

I forgot about Hiro getting punched in the face, I liked the way the guy did it too, he just walked up to him and gave him a quick jab in the face.

I agree, for me it's hard to really care for the characters. It really just comes down to Hiro, Claire and the cop for me, which he barely got a minute of screentime in the last episode. :-/ Everyone else has moments of interest that fill up the time between the three characters I like. It's still early in the season though, a lot can happen between now and the end. I'm kind of warming up to Nikki now.

I think if I were time traveling I would introduce myself the same way to people. "Whoa, Bill, you look different with two arms." Great way to break the ice.

They should really change the name to Hiro and kick everyone else out.

just a few more popularity points and "Heroes" execs might consider a spin-off

" he was a geeky japanese man who discovered he can travel through time. Now his adventures continue in.....

"Hiro: the time traveling Ninja" coming this fall :D

shot of ninja hiro defeating a villain with his katana

Hiro *coldly* "Yata..."

I enjoyed it. But I missed the last couple of weeks so I spent the entier episode catching up.

Cool Episode. I really liked future Hiro too. Wonder how he survived the Sylar onslaught.

One thing that just occured to me about the "save the cheerleader...save the world" comment is that she really is the only one that hasn't "met" a fellow hero yet, so they need to find her before Sylar or her dad get to her.

Man, want some cheese with all that whine?
Hilariously original.

Thing is, like you I have an opinion. Also like you, I read other people's then express mine. Which I will continue to do, because I'm going to watch this show just for Hiro and hope it improves.

The fact that Dread likes it means it might have glimmer of hope.

I could be wrong but I still haven't seen anyone mention the tattoo on the back of Nikki's neck. It's the same symbol as the black dude has on his necklace.

the only downside I see to Future Hiro is that much of is inocence looks like it has been lost at the point he is there, and that's exactly what I find the best about him, his innocence

i just see "future hiro" as one possible alternate version of what he might become in the future. Who's the say the show will really go down this path in 5 years? (if it does last that long)

Hiro is that's embracing his destiny most. He's already been at a possible nuclear attack, he's bound to lose his innocence. The excitment he shows is great, but it's bound to change the more he sees and experiences.

I'm hoping there's more to ShadowNikki than a bad attitude and ass-kicking ability. As it is her power is basically to suffer from dissociative identity disorder.

I like that the opening credit titles, they're getting creative...and while on the topic of the Claire autopsy scene...as gruesome as it was, it was pretty lame...since when do coroners start cutting people open before an identity is revealed...or waiting less than 24hrs to perform an autopsy before releasing the situation to the public?...and on top of that...don't want to sound like a picky perv...but when clair pulled her skin back on...um...from everything we know about the female anatonmy, she's supposed to have breasts...ofcourse NBC can't show that...thats not what I'm saying...I'm saying that if they're doing something that graphic...don't try to make it revealing...it looked so fake...which made it so wack...so it was a little over the top imo.

I know that, and that's something I'd really love to see, but damn it, noob Hiro is such a lovable character

I noticed that one too, but well, what can you do? it's network television

^^^^
and again...why was an autopsy authorized? Its like me dropping dead on the side of the road...and being cut open an 1hr after my death...even without ID on a person...unless you have permission to perform an autopsy by the family...or the body is completely unidentifiable...they don't just start cutting you open like that:rolleyes:

can someone please try to explain to me what hiro of the future was telling peter petrelli in the rain

The whole ep I was thinking that the cheerleader has become the Highlander. I bet the only way to kill her is to cut off her head.

So here's a crazy thought....

Future Hiro = Sylar

and you should know Claire(ie Hayden) is only 16/17 in real life. Don't think the network wants to be hig with child porn charges :p

I'm assuming you mean the train. Hiro introduced himself, told Peter he'll have a scar in the future and was about to tell him about a threat, we'll find out the rest of the conversation next week.

this show is awesome point blank. This is the only action show that i make sure i watch since Buffy. Its going to be really good in the future. I can't wait for next year. I like Nikki jus cuz shes a mom and she's trying to take care of her son and protect him. I just want to know where her alter ego came from, maybe built up anger. The cheerleader is a good character one of the normal ones besides Nathan's brother. Next week's episode looks completely and totally freaking awesome. But i bet everything they showed happens in the last 15-20 mins of the show lol

One thing I don't get is why they have to "protect the cheerleader, save the world." She cant be hurt, unless I guess if someone stabbed her and left the knife in.
