The Dark Knight Epitome Scene for Joker?

ok, there are scenes that were missed that I just loved and laughed at, now even though the joke is a crazy, murderous person. It did make my eyes light up when he was onscreen. Is that a bad thing?
Scenes include:
1) When that guy is mentioning how many of his friends the joker had killed after Batman leaves him in the interrogation room. He mouth 6 after the other guy says 6.
Fixed :cwink:
right after the guy in the jail blows up, they show the explosions and such, then they show the joker, everyone else is on the ground and its only the joker standing, his head down hair over his face and he kind of moves his head to the side looking at the destruction, that real quick shot, plus the music in the background was brilliant.
Was that when the papers and debris were falling all around him? Something about that scene was just....awe-inspiring, very cinematic.

1) Sliding down the Money

2) Shooting the Bazooka

3) Dizzily stumbling out of the flipped truck

during the speech at the end when he is giving his speech about madness and how society is fragile and how little it takes to stat anarchy, this was the main theme in the Killing joke where he kidknapped gordon and shot his daughter. I know this is one of the novels Ledger studies. but the the similarites are crazy close

Hanging his head out of the cop car, hands down. Stunning in every way.

The upside down speech near the end is a close second and is a top choice of mine for the imminent Oscar clip.

Not so much the epitome of the Joker, but something that tickles me nonetheless: the hand sanitizer. What kills me about it is that there is no one around, so he isn't playing for an audience. It's such a quirky thing to do, and if I ever thought the Joker was saner than he was playing it, that little moment really just said that he really is off his rocker to some extent.

And, of course, the fact that he is wearing a nurses uniform. That never stops being funny. I'm amazed that they were able to pull stuff like that off in this movie and have it hit in just the right way, but they did.

i was one of the guys who was 150% sure that it will look campy. but it looked crazy.

I was reading an article that compared Ledger in the nurses uniform to Jack Lemmon in 'Some Like It Hot' - very apt.

In the scene where the joker is stood in the center of the road, telling Batman to 'hit' him..
Then when the Batman crashes && the Joker runs over to him, but jumps on his own guy and makes that weird noise...
it makes me laugh every time.
I dont necessarily think that this shows the Joker for what he really is ... but I just dont understand why he does it ... is he looking for some sort of response .. or is it simply because he is mad?
The Joker is such a complex character .. he changes in every scene, I feel. Every time he is on screen there is definitly a presense about him... whether its humorous or just plain scary.. But I think he stands for more than he lets on. He makes more sense than any of the other chacracters && he is trying to prove a point, not just to himself but to everyone else involved in his schemes.
&& Thats why I cant decide which scene defines him

how can anyone say that this was nothing like the comic book joker? (donk70 you are the most negative ******** i've ever seen on the internet, ever). lets think, broadcasting threats on the news is something Joker has always done. Thinking up elaborate ways to rob banks and escape jail is something the joker has always done. Trying to get batman to break his one rule is something the joker has always done. Trying to get good innocent people to turn bad is something the joker has always done. come up with elaborate ways to kill people is something the joker has always done.
I get the feeling some people (donk70) are still peed off that joker isn't permawhite and doesn't look exactly like he does in the comics. It doesn't mean he don't act like he does in the comics. Stop being spoilt is what i say.

Whoa, simmer down there. You don't want to get banned over someone elses opinion, do you?

donk70 is not worth getting upset over. He doesn't like ANY live action version of the Joker. Not Cesar Romero, or Jack Nicholson, or Mark Hamill's version.

I'm not sure what exactly he wants from the Joker on screen.

Personally, I think donk70 just wants to go against the grain.

Magic Trick and Interrogation scene.

Classic Mistah j.

Small part but I love when joker is chasing after Harvey in the armored truck, when the door flies open he lifts his arm and casually starts shooting at the truck, like ho hum got to kill Harvey

yea no worries man, i havn't got anything against people having a opinion. it just annoys me when people are so narrow minded. and all the points i made prove that this joker is exactly like the comic book joker, well at least in attitude and actions.

When the joker is wearing the nurse costume and he is just like "Hi" man that kills me the way he portrays it makes me think

"Hi, i just killed your fiancee, are you okay with that?"

QFT! DV said it best.

:funny: I almost forgot about the hand sanitizer scene.

The scene that totally summed up The Joker was the initial meeting with the mob bosses.

Mine was when he blows up Gordon's office, while everyone is on the ground from the blast, he's hunged over with a VERY creepy look. It just screamed Joker!!!

my favorite joker joke would have to be the scene where harvey is being transported in the armored truck, and there is a burning vehicle on the road in which they have to take the underpass. Now, its not the fact that it's a burning vehicle that I like it, it's the fact that it's a firetruck...on fire...a literal

firetruck

When Harvey and The Joker are speaking at the hospital. I loved that scene.

We didn't see anything even close to the comic book Joker
Then you must have accidentally walked into a movie other than TDK.
No need to.

This isn't the thread to break off into a Joker debate.

Stay on topic please
It's one thing to not like this version of the Joker, but it's another to come into a thread like this and make an inflammatory and controversial statement and not even explain your position in the slightest. It makes you look like nothing less than a troll.

Anyway, it would be hard for me to pick any one scene, but if I had to, I suppose I'd pick the final scene with him, especially the things he says to Batman when he's hanging there.
