Honestly, if they introduced Monica Rambeau, I'd prefer her powers come from a simple straightforward chemical accident. She doesn't need to be tied to Grand Epic Events; she's just an ordinary cop ( harbor patrol, meh ) who had a radiation accident and rolled a natural 20. It would also give a good excuse for some more traditional "superhero fighting crime" type action.

But yeah, a cop story in the MCU could be really awesome. I think they'll do some gritty crime stuff in the Netflix corner, but it'd be cool to see a clean cop story.

but that's what Misty Knight is for.

I don't mean police drama, per se, so much as. . . you know how Superman spends a fair amount of time protecting a city and stopping ordinary crime? That kind of thing, with Monica standing in for Superman. Her relationship with the New Orleans PD would be her analog to the Daily Planet, just with a different focus. Whether there's a secret ID or not is optional, though I'd kind of prefer not. She doesn't really need it.

I'd like someone to really have fun/make fun of the secret ID. If they ever did Rambeau, her supporting cast, such as FBI guy Derek Freeman would suss it out pretty quickly. It'd be funny to break down.

But I feel you, but if there's a story about ordinary crime, and the NOPD is the supporting cast, you kinda do have a cop story. Rambeau's not a traditional cop, but I could see her arresting common criminals and using her incredible spectral analysis to do police detective work. She actually lends really well to that. Her origin story villain, iirc, was a south american drug kingpin. You don't get much more real crime than that.

9) The Black Panther is gone. Thank Goodness. Boring character. It's as if nobody at Marvel Comics has ever been to Africa. There's no way the greatest technology in the world comes from Africa. EVER. I've been there.

OF COURSE HE TALKING NON-SENSE.
Africa in the past had the most advanced technology,but i think he talking about modern africa.
Of course south african technology is one of the most advanced in the modern world today and nigeria makes the most advanced space satellites these days.

I liked the way JMS broke down/made fun of the secret ID in his Supreme Power Mini series maybe they can ape that with Monica

I'd be willing to wait until he's done with Star Wars...then 8 years from now when he's 30...come out with a bad ass Black Panther movie. It's long wait...but by then he'd be a HUGE draw based on the Star Wars film/s.

Ain't gonna happen unless it's Rated R. Evans said he has an interest in Iron Fist, but didn't want to do it unless it's Rated R, which no way in hell it'll happen with Disney.
