EVERYTHING Black Panther - Part 4

Uhm...John Boyega....you know, STAR WARS John Boyega, name dropped at the end of this interview that he would LOVE to play Black Panther.

I'd be willing to wait until he's done with Star Wars...then 8 years from now when he's 30...come out with a bad ass Black Panther movie. It's long wait...but by then he'd be a HUGE draw based on the Star Wars film/s.

He was good in Attack the Block and all, but...*puts out of chair and stands and chants*

Chi-we-tel Ejiofor! CHI-WE-TEL EJOIFOR! CHIWETEL EJIOFOR!

I'm gonna be chanting for him like crazy. The time is now for a Black Panther movie. If it doesn't happen by Marvel Phase 4 or so then they waited way too long. In 8 years they may be in a cool down period with their movies, so I'd rather see Marvel do Black Panther while everyone is on their jock. Right now people feel as though they can't do any wrong, so a Black Panther movie would look very appealing if they do it around the time that Avengers 3 comes out.

^I also want BP pre-Avengers 3, but I don't think Marvel is capable of that.

Boyega I think is the best choice, but I would also love to see Ejiofor as BP. He'd make a good T'Chaka against Boyega's T'Challa, I think.

Based on what? She never had on on-going book until a few years back and that was after her big screen debut. The book was quickly canceled.

Storm was the de facto A-list female because she was the most recognizable female marvel character at one point, generally the 90s and 2000s. She may still be, honestly, despite the pushes and solos other characters have gotten. People on the street know who Storm is, immediately, by name, apparently from the cartoons and movies. If you look at merchandising and licencing over the years, Storm was featured on a lot of stuff, for an X-Men supporting cast, and usually as the only female and only poc.

I'm with you on this. Strike while the iron is hot at Marvel. It's going to come a time when the cbm is going to be replaced. I don't know when it's going to happen but it's going to happen.

100% agreed.

I don't know if I should even post this nonsense here, but according to El Mayimbe.....

Rumor is they screen tested for BLACK PANTHER yesterday. Could we see him in AVENGERS: AOU? Think it's legit? RT #blackpanther #marvel

Check the link for a photo of some sort of document. It all looks highly suspect to me, but I thought I'd drop it here for everyone's consumption anyway.

It doesn't look "highly suspect" at all. If it's a fake, it's done by a pro with insider info.....the layout and terminology, etc. is all legit.

While Eh Maybe speculates that T'Challa might be in AOU, the call sheet (dated this past Saturday, May 3) is for a BLACK PANTHER MOVIE. (:wow::word:) The scene described shows
T'Challa in a Lotus, then apparently doing some yoga with Malice (Nakia), one of the Dora Milaje.

Oh really? I guess I don't know enough to know that. That's good news.

This is the part that I thought was suspicious, since we haven't heard anything official. I guess I'd just rather be cautious. It would be cool if we hear something official from this, or maybe some footage at comic con, if it turns out true.

EDIT: The logo used comes from here: http://mrsteiners.deviantart.com/art/Marvel-s-BLACK-PANTHER-LOGO-411581459
I thought it looked familiar. It's from deviantart.

Unlike with Doctor Strange, there is no legit evidence of a BP movie even coming.

Maybe Marvel is waiting until SDCC to make an official announcement. I hope so, since I really want a BP movie.

Granted. But setting scenes of AOU in Jo-berg (which may or may not be doubling as Wakanda; the jury's still out on that) is a pretty good indicator that MS is at least glancing in that direction. I know you're still a pessimist about this, but I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic.

Drew McWeeny tweeted this:

Wakanda's in the film, but as of the start of production, Black Panther wasn't. They left the door open, though.

What would you guys think about this choice?

Crossing fingers for something at Comic Con. I'd accept something meager like Ultron rampaging through Wakanda and then killing the current ruler to set the stage for Panther to appear in a solo movie or Avengers sequel.

The real Michael B. Jordan wouldn't think of such a thing.
