Why is Fox obsessed with the Thor movies? The future Sentinels in DOFP were Destroyer knock offs and Doom is a Dark Elf knock off and the Negative Zone is a Svartalfheim knock-off.

What a disappointing interpretation of the Negative Zone. Hopefully Marvel shows us how it's done when they introduce the other dimensions of Doctor Strange.

So you saw the movie already?

Where did the orange rocks come from?!lol

Sorry no, the leaked photo has to be from the climax of the film. I say that because it looks like they were filming an action scene and from the trailer there's really no action in this film.

That's what Rockhead is saying. If you look at the trailer there are two separate astronaut teams (one in white suits, one in black suits).

Domaschev may not be in the black suit team with Reed when the accident happens.

This is the standard response to all criticisms of what we do know about this film. Please don't act like there's nothing to criticize. It makes you seem nonobjective. If the film turns out to be nothing like what we do know then you will have scored a point. But at this point in time, I am extremely disappointed in the way Fox has handled everything about the Fantastic Four.

The design of the future Sentinels reminded me more of this than the Destroyer.

When your criticism of sth like the Negative Zone is based on seconds of teaser footage, don't be surprised if you get that response.

Future Sentinels were basically black Nimrods. Only thing they had in common with Destroyer was the face laser

And they did more things than just open up their faces and shoot death beams.

I'm just using your own logic here, it's not even one that I subscribe to: "You need to have a close adaptation first before you give someone a license to re-envision". The FF are never gonna go through as many interpretations as the works you mentioned, for one. The Story movies are terrible adaptations to you, they might have been passable ones to someone else. But they exist and they gave audiences a close taste of the FF straight from the comics, so your logic is covered. It's not the soundest argument, given how much subjectivity plays into it, but there you go. I don't think much of that would matter to general audiences unfamiliar with the source material if the film works in the general sense.

no you're really not

you're talking about oral history... a giant game of telephone. Vs film that usually on it's first adaptations, actually tries to adapt the source material faithfully.

there 2 completely different things.

and no.. i think most people on here would say the story adaptations were not "close" at all... Surfer, Johnny, and pug faced thing were about the only accurate portrayals of anyone

I though Michael Bay invented that circle shot?

Not sure but I'm certain I've seen it some place before Tbor

This movie looks like it could be a good movie. Great. But is it a faithful Fantastic Four movie? From what we've heard and seen it doesn't look that way.

So far it looks mostly accurate to the source it's based on, Ultimate F4.
Characters generally match, it's about teleportation and they get their powers through the experiment to the N-Zone

Aside from DOOM I thought the Story movies were very faithful. But just like Batman & Robin which was also very faithful it didn't matter as the quality sucked

Batman and Robin you thought was faithful? to what.. the 60s tv series?

Bat-Girl and Alfred was hardly faithful, nor was ivy and Bane... I'll give you freeze, but he was very poorly written

It sady looks like Kelly gave all hope up. No safe haven for fans of the Fantastic Four anymore :(
