Doom was never one to try to convince others about his feelings on reed or anyone or thing.. it was his own personal vendettas that he owned.
Blogs are for spreading awareness and opinions for others to read... thats sooooo not doom

Sure, that would make sense, but there's no reason to believe any of it will actually be in the movie. All we know is that Domashev is a programmer who blogs under the alias "Doom".I think Domashev could possibly make a lot of sense if u look at him as being the exiled heir of a deposed rulership. He would be a child when this happened, sent to the US, maybe a trust fund set up for him, and raised by handlers of his father's regime.
he grows up here but it's always beaten into his head that he is something special, he is the only legitimate heir to Latveria. which is being ruled by a US puppet democracy. even the people of Latveria see things as being worse now and there is romanticism for the old ways.
Doom's blog, hack thing is a pro-independent Latveria, and he is taken to be the voice of this heir in exile. runs this under the handle, D00m or Doom or whatever.
there is nothing about this that is counter to the essential character of Doctor Doom. if u look at this as like origin story, it makes lots of sense that he be in the place that he is.
once whatever accident happens, he suddenly either has or has access to way more power than he previously imagined, and he is able to retake the country by using this power. more than half his own country is ecstatic about this, so the UN cannot really go in there and force him off the throne again. for the time being, he is the returned legitimate heir.
i'm not saying it's gonna go like this, but this is something that makes sense, no?
sounds like the origins of Doom to me, for the most part. works to the essence of the character.
... but doom is notorious for not really taking the best care of his people. Latveria looks like the middle ages, and the money and tech all goes into doom and his plans... latveria is basically n korea. He's a crappy selfish rulerDepends on what he is blogging about, could it be the atrocities in Eastern Europe? the poverty? genocide of his people?
Could be a blog of most anything.
And, as with most modern terrorists, he's probably not going to try very hard to convince people of his point of view. Odds are he'll do something more along the lines of making threats and demanding things or else.
A blog can be for any purpose, really.

I thought Doom took really good care of the people of Latveria.
what if he is a political blogger, motivated by his feelings of injustice for what he sees as his birthright being torn from him and his father killed by foreign deposers? But it"s not that. "Blogging" is social. You're interacting with people and sharing ideas. Doom's big issue with Reed was that Reed read his notes, so why would he share ideas online when he is that private about what he's doing?

Are we really debating the merits of a blogging Dr. Doom? Good lord.
I knew someone would throw out the tired joker parallels. You really think an adaption handled by Josh Trank and one by Christopher Nolan are comparable? Mkay.
Btw, I think most people would agree that this thing isn't going to "bomb hard". Just that it won't look anything like the F4. That's the basic issue here.
And Ant-Man looks even less like the source material.
And-Man is no longer a redhead. Stature is no longer blonde. Hank Pym isn't Yellowjacket, instead Yellowjacket is Darren Cross. Hank Pym is also a senior. Wasp died before the film starts.
People forgive Ant-Man because it's Marvel Studios. People hate FF because it's Fox.

Well, what was the motto of the Russian Revolution?
"Peace, Land and Bread" and all they gave the Russians after they brought in Communism was "Bread".
It's not unheard of....
Who knows, I have no idea........ but hey, one speculation is as good as another...![]()
My point is you dont complain about social injustice and then go on to continue it
t:I could have sworn Doom usually takes really good care of the people of Latveria.
He does, although he also demands utter loyalty and subservience.

But they tried, unlike fox who basically created their own story with little bases pulled from any sort of source material.
But... doesn't the the teaser shows that Trank is heavily influenced by the UFF run ?
I mean, it's not like this new take of the FF and their origin story came out of nowhere... There's more than little bases, imo.
While being a blogger is a change, I see it as modernization. Toby is playing a younger doom and I don't find it far feteched for a character at his age, with that much anger, to have a blog. His handle of Doom plays into the mask people wear everyday of normalcy. Then him having this power becoming evil, just fits into his character.
