Yep. As somebody who likes the new Doom, I simply can't get behind the new FF costumes. Reed has the worst of the bunch.

There's not really anything to get behind other than the basic concept, which I rather like, of costumes that aid them in controlling and learning to use their powers. Theyr'e not really costumes in any real sense, though. These aren't meant to be an adaption of their comic book suits.

They're clearly not designed for visual appeal. They're meant to be more utilitarian and militant. They're also probably provided by the military/heads of the Baxter.

My guess is they're going to become a more fully formed supergroup toward the end of the film, split from the government's influence, and we may see something more classic then.

Doom literally looks like he belongs in a dead space game. There were rumors of him having 3 monologues in this and that is the only thing I am looking forward to about his character.
I personally am seeing a ripoff of Shodan from System Shock.

On another note, bless whoever put Kate Mara in that awful wig because now we'll be able to pick out the reshot scenes.

So after that Trailer who is still going to see this still?

I am still going to watch it. **** it. Ive paid to see worse things. Might as well watch this. I can go to a bargain time and it'll be cheap.

Still not seeing the wig issues, other than slightly different hairstyles in various scenes and different lighting.

Some of these complaints...

Bad acting? No. The acting in this trailer is anything but bad. Not even the kids can be considered bad, by child actor standards. I like young Reed. He's actually kind of subtle, and not the "cute little kid" Hollywood forces down our throats so often.

The lines "Say yes" and ""He's stronger than any of us, but he's not stronger than all of us." Were awful and the delivery wasn't great. Yes the part with the kids was good. Not the stuff with the older actors. MBJ will be the saving grace of this flick. He seems to be the only one having fun with this.

Reshoots. Which part is it that people believe they reshot, exactly, and what exactly are the issues with it?

You gotta be kidding me. The parts with Maras awful wig and some of the shots with blatant green screen are reshoots. The reshoots are part of the bigger problems with this film.

The CGI looks okay to me, though some of it in the international version of the trailer is clearly not done. It may not be entirely finished, but it looks pretty good. I don't understand a lot of complaints people have about CGI sometimes. I don't need effects to look perfect...maybe it comes from being a child of the 80's and having to grow up using my imagination with films.

You don't understand or you won't listen to be what people have been saying all along. The VFX look off because they used OTOY rather than a proper VFX company because they anted to be cheap. Comic book movies these days have top notch CGI. This film should be no different. Compare Sunspot in DoFP and Human Torch in this flick. The VfX is different. 3rd trailer in and less than a month away the VFX still not looking that good? Come on..

Dark tone. I don't think this looks that dark. Maybe more serious, but "dark"? I dunno. I just don't see it so far. Obviously some of the more intense scenes have a darkness to them, but thats par for the course with superhero films, but there seems to be enough "down time" to balance it out.

If you read the FF comics, you know the tone of this flick is way off. This TASM all over again were they try to Batman begins a superherosuperhero(s) with a specific tone because it was successful with that character. It feels jarring

Trank's Twitter thing...why do people even care? What bearing on the final film does a man not having a thick enough skin for you have? For all we know, someone's personally attacking him beyond just Twitter complaints. I just don't see why it matters, other than it gives people one more thing to whine about when it comes to Trank.

And then when people voice their opinions on twitter he acts like a total jerk and unprofessional. If he expected all this backlash, why does he care what the average Joe thinks of his film?lol He needs to grow thicker skin. Why not just shut up and let his film speak for itself.

Whedon,Singer,Snyder,Nolan, Raimi etc faced backlash from fans but did you ever see them go on twitter and start saying **** like this?:whatever:

It would probably save you, like, a lot of time if you just wrote "I disagree" in every post you make.

It's not even the same color. Come on, you're being ridiculous now.

I don't have that much of an issue with the wig. It just looks like a bad hair day for Sue. ;)

Dr. Doom's real master plan is to consume all the plankton in the oceans, through his filter feeding mouth. This will throw the food chain off balance and cause species to go extinct, eventually leading to mankind. It's genius!

Shrug, I would feel a lot better if Dr. Doom wasn't a Mutant Trashbag Glowzombie. I look at that and I think "You had to know what you were doing was not as cool as the real thing. You had to."

The only scene part of this trailer that actually speaks to me is young Reed. The rest? Pass.

I hate it when I wake up to my hair being a different shade. Bad hair days, am I right? :whatever:

What's so bad about them? Are they out of place in the scenes? Is it something the Four would never say? Is it something a real person would never say?

What's so bad about the deliveries? Use acting terms. I'm an actor, so they won't go over my head.

You gotta be kidding me. The parts with Maras awful wig and some of the shots with blatant green screen are reshoots. The reshoots are part of the bigger problems with this film.

So, because it has greenscreen, it has to be from a reshoot? They couldn't possibly have used greenscreen in original parts of the film? How do you know these are parts that were reshot, or that reshoots are part of the bigger problems of the film? Have you seen the scenes in question?

You don't understand or you won't listen to be what people have been saying all along. The VFX look off because they used OTOY rather than a proper VFX company because they anted to be cheap.

To be honest, Teekay...without an explanation of this, it sounds like you're just repeating something you heard someone say without understanding what it means. Please explain to me why OTOY is an issue here VS traditional effects companies.

Comic book movies these days have top notch CGI.

Not always entirely true. There have been complaints about the CGI in a number of scenes/films from fans.

This film should be no different. Compare Sunspot in DoFP and Human Torch in this flick. The VfX is different. 3rd trailer in and less than a month away the VFX still not looking that good? Come on..

What doesn't look good about it? Specific visual elements and elements of CGI, please.

If you read the FF comics, you know the tone of this flick is way off. This TASM all over again were they try to Batman begins a superherosuperhero(s) with a specific tone because it was successful with that character. It feels jarring

First, the FF comics have never had "a single tone".

Second, the tone feels "serious", with moments of lighthearted fun and bonding throughout. I have read plenty of Fantastic Four comics with this tone. Nevermind that no film has one "tone". That would be intensely inappropriate and creatively boring.

Because not everyone handles things the way other people do, by just letting things speak for themselves. For instance, some fans haven't been able to "just shut up and let the film be what it is". They've felt the need to be hyperbolicly hateful about almost every element of it.

Or lighting, dye...

Women change their hair, and hair looks different in different circumstances.

Especially blonde hair, which reflects a lot of light.

There are a variety of reasons her hair could not appear the same in different shots or scenes.

This is really nitpicky.

If it's that her hair doesn't always look great, this clearly isn't fashion-model Sue Storm.

At least the original was a lot more faithful than this abomination. Looks like Darth Vader without the helmet.

As far as I'm concerned, her hair doesn't look all that great anywhere in the movie. Kind of a girly opinion, but it really doesn't look good at any point in the movie. :csad:

I actually have friends whose hair look more brown when they have their bad hair days and black when they are not. Sue's hair though have a little too much of a difference in shade but I am not that picky. I don't look at their hair all the time, hence why it is not bothering me.

Agreed. And that's probably intentional. She's got it tied up, it's kind of messy, but not in a sexy way. She's not all dolled up. They're obviously not going for the beauty queen version of the character.

Anything to believe Kinberg's lie about reshoots...

I still don't see how its an obvious wig. Again, not something I care that much about, but even looking at it, I'm not seeing the specific shots where its an issue.

I could care less whether he told the truth about reshoots.

Has no actual bearing on the quality of this film.

I can only speak for myself but:

Bad wigs in superhero movies isn't anything new. I'm not surprised they couldn't match her real hair (although I think they probably could have done better -- this looks like it was selected in a rush). But the wig itself is useful because now we can see what was reshot.
