They're certainly having more fun with the soundtrack than with the movie itself.
I honestly think what you're seeing there is Kinberg, Willie. He used to do a lot of uncredited writing work for Fox, and he was an uncredited writer for the first Story movie.
It feels like Fox thinks Tim Story is a God. They're trying to do everything the same way now as he did it back then.
Tim Story created a path that Fox refuses to diverge from.
Lol. Didn't he recently just flat out admit those were awful movies?
Hey, maybe they're thinking that third times the charm?

I think Chronicle is a damn fine film but I had a hard time getting over the found footage angle as I hate found footage type films.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'm not going to apologize for liking and expecting good production values when it comes to big budget studio films. If others are okay with 100+mil dollar movies looking like ****, congratulations but I am not. I knock points off for that. Forget Snyder or Bay polish, FF isn't as polished as Singer's Days of Future Past either. FF isn't as polished as the ****ing Hellboy movies either and those were not super expensive films.
EDIT: Oh Darth explained it better than I. You can't cheap out on a Fantastic Four movie and expect people to not point it out. And Chronicle did look fine for what it was.
So you didn't read my post then?
Ladies and gentlemen. I present you Marvels greatest villain.

Nope!
The votes are already in for us and people are hip to the games you avid suppporters play. Ultimately this reboot is seen by many as a huge letdown for legitimate reasons. There's nothing you can post that will change that.
If you like what Trank has flung on screen, fine. Just don't continue to insult our intelligence with gullible deniability and weak derailment attempts.

This, this is good. The xmen trailer was misleading us all. These guys are the four horsemen of the apocalypse

After looking at yet another Dr. Doom cinematic misfire, I'm left wondering:
Why didn't Trank have Kebbell play Annihilus?
Rather than having Electro-Mummy Doom crawl out of the N-Zone pit, you could have Kebbell transform into an awesome space bug. There's your Cronenbergian body horror! Have Kebbell transform into an armored, winged monstrosity and snag the Cosmic Rod that he and Reed were working on. End the film with a creature that can match wits with Reed, battle through the air with Sue and Johnny, and stand toe to toe with Ben. Awesome!
Trank could have fixed FFINO on set without any recasting.
Toby: You're Annihilus now.
Myles: You're Ben. Now put on some damn pants.
Jamie: You're Johnny.
Michael: You're Reed.
Kate: You're still Sue. Throw out that stupid wig.
Tim: You're still a government agent, but on the sly you are actually working for a mysterious Eastern European guy named Domashev. In the post credit scene, Domashev (think Wesley from Daredevil) will drop you off on an uninhabited (maybe not!) island for your failure. He will then report back to his Master and get blasted into paste by a mysterious armored figure.
Doom gets powers in the same accident as the Four, they spend a large portion of the film with just them in a lab dealing with their powers, then Doom shows up at the third act and they have to stop the trouble that they caused.I'm curious as to where you think this looks like a Tim Story FOUR movie. Beyond Doom not being faithful, going with the Four and being transformed and getting powers, which wasn't so much entirely Tim Story's doing as the studio and screenwriters.
This looks like a wholly different approach than the Story FOUR.
Nah, its good. It just means Marvel will get it right.I....just...how...wha..?

Doom gets powers in the same accident as the Four, they spend a large portion of the film with just them in a lab dealing with their powers, then Doom shows up at the third act and they have to stop the trouble that they caused.
1. It's primarily an origin story in which 5 people go on a scientific mission which results in them attaining powers.
2. The second act and primary story and conflict will be the 4 learning to deal with those powers.
3. The third act will be the 4 fighting an organically powered Doom who was their colleague prior to the accident.
4. The fantastic four save the world from a threat Reed Richards created.
5. The cast is comprised of relatively unknown but respected up-and-coming young actors.
6. The film is being promoted with very brief, disjointed clips that give no feel for any real story but show a mix of action and lighter moments all to the tune of rock and dance music.
7. The posters for the film are primarily of the 4 actors standing around looking serious and ready for action.
8. One of the primary conflicts will be between the four and officious military people who look down their nose at them while needed their help and trying to keep them under control (as in ROTSS).
Shockingly inept. Is the cgi on this movie even finished yet? Look at this, it's terrible.

Maybe Trank gave Ben the power to make metal disappear.![]()
Ang Lee's Hulk already got this right a decade ago. No excuse, but don't worry there will be plenty. We just don't get.Is the cgi on this movie even finished yet? Look at this, it's terrible.
