When I saw Vin Diesel drive that car from one tower to the other then he jumped out of the car before it fell hundreds of feet, I started giggling. The s*** was ridiculous. Then I made the decision that I will see this awesome movie.

Not a terrible series. This is what the Expendables should've been like in tone.

Honestly, this franchise evolved into one that embraces the absurdity. And it works because they give no f***s while still delivering an entertaining film that fires on all cylinders. Escapism is what we watch many films for. It helps tremendously when it's actually a decent film.

The Expendables tries it's hardest to achieve this and falls short. Then the sequels completely missed the mark.

I fear it might just be the reverse actually. They hit a sweet spot in somewhere between crazy and grounded in fast 5. Then in fast 6 you(I) started to hear people complain and mock the idea that Dom could now fly or endless runways and such. This new footage backed up by this new director and all of these flying cars....

Fingers crossed it goes well.

ive been with this series since day one. it has definitely evolved and i do miss the car racing sometimes. it was a car racing by day, heist by night thing, and now it's just heist heist heist and now people are coming to get you thing. i don't mind, but as long as we keep getting reminders of what we all loved about it to begin with, i think i'll be ok. the family element and loyalty is an extremely important theme in these, and i guess this one will show it from the villain side too (shaw's big bro avenging him)

they're ridiculous at times, sometimes corny, but always entertaining. i don't mind that they're a little unrealistic at times, it's nice to have a break from reality. but that car going from building to building scene was crazy. if this is going to be in imax, i think i'll have to see it there

FF8- was the part where 3 cars falling from the sky all gravitated toward each other too much?

Not to mention a fight with Dom and Liam neeson(the shaw family dad!) while the cars were falling?

The first films were realy bad, while they can still make put more car racing, the franchise got much better once the heist became a more integral part of it.

i think if the action was smaller we all would still be very hyped. the reason the action is getting so big and over the top is because its funny IMO.

Like I have said in the past, these characters were normal low level street racers with nos tanks under there seats to now full fledged avengers.

I only saw Fast 1, 2, and 4 in theaters. I recently picked up a blu ray box set that had 1-6 probably gonna watch them to get up to speed pardon the pun .
