THIS MOVIE WAS AWSOME I DONT KNOW WHY SOME OF YOU ARE *****ING ABOUT THIS MOVIE

THIS MOVIE WAS A FUN MOVIE IN GENERAL IT WAS MEANT TO BE A MOVIE WERE YOU COULD TAKE YOUR FAMILY OR WHOEVER SEE IT AND LEAVE THE MOVIE WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

I LOVED THIS MOVIE AND IT WAS WAY BETTER THAN SPIDER-MAN 3 OR PIRATES OR ANY OF THE SUMMER MOVIES SO FAR

THANK YOU TIM STORY FOR A FUN FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE HE REALLY STEPPID IT UP FOR THE SEQUEL THIS TIME IN TERMS OF ACTION AND PLOTLINE

PLUS DOOM WAS A HELL OF ALOT BETTER THIS TIME

I STILL FEEL JULIAN MCMHAON IS NOT THE BEST CHOICE BUT WHEN HE WAS IN FULL DOOM GEaAR AT THE END HE KICKED ASS AND IT LOOKED PRETTY COOL

THANK YOU TIM STORY FOR MAKING AND FUN AND ENTERTANING MOVIE!!!!!

Why are you yelling at us.....?

I took my 7 yr old and she was confused throughout the movie. She wasn't too excited afterwards. But she did love all the pirates movies. So I dont know what to think.

I rated it above average (with the mind-set that Punisher, Daredevil, Elektra, and Ghost Rider are average films)...

Thought it was a big improvement over the first attempt, in regards to cinematography and special effects (LOVED the new Baxter Building and Fantasti-Car, and all the various shots around planet Earth locales were very cool)...The Surfer, of course, looked breath-taking...also thought the cast seemed a bit more comfortable and at ease with each other...

The groups personalities are solidified even further along than they were in the first film. The banter and inter-action is excellent. The Ben/Johnny stuff is pure gold! Really enjoyed the brief interlude between Johnny and Sue right before the wedding, and practically cheered when Reed told off the army General. Loved the way Doom spat "i hate you" at Reed when he showed up at the military conference...that was all great stuff.

However; Fox once again drops the ball in regards to the villains. After gaining the power cosmic, Doom seems to once again be dispatched with relative ease...and the Galactus cloud was a complete disappointment. I think a golden opportunity to bring the cosmic aspects of the Marvel Universe to the big screen was completely blown here, in exchange to playing it safe and insuring a quick buck. Sure, the Surfer LOOKED good...but that was it. Where was the philosifying...the emotional soliloquies that Stan wrote so well for this character? Where was the emotional scene between he and Alicia? Where was The Watcher? Galactus?

Basically, this is a fun, slightly above average superhero flick, but hardly a proper adaption to what many consider to be one of the greatest epics in comics history.

Character interaction is this production teams greatest strength. So, for future FF installments, here's hoping they stay far, far away from the cosmic aspects (Galactus, Annihilus, Inhumans) and instead maybe consider more down to earth adaptions (Frightful Four, Puppet Master, Black Panther)...

6.5/10

It might have been the influence of the theatre, apparently he also went to the most boring theatre in America....:cwink:

The kids at the theater I was at loved it....several were asking their parents as they left when they could see it again.

My 5 & 7 year old girls love it. They really liked The Thing and The Surfer the most. They want to see it again.

I've already talked about this conversation...

But I loved the conversation I heard between these 2 boys...

They were talking about an FF3, and yeah, and maybe an FF 4, and a 5 and a 6....

It was very cute, they definitely enjoyed it.....

There was alittle hispanic boy in front of me with his mom and dad earlier today....I was in a theatre almost at capacity with, I would say 95% parents with small kids...it was crazy....*talking*, *talking*, *talking*...the little boy in front of me was up/down, up/down, up/down in his seat.....

From the first music that they heard.......the kids were quiet, and all attention on the screen.....the little ADD kid.....mesmerized....he was about 5 or 6......what a cutie....

This is great news as all of these kids growing up on this will become new fans that will fuel this franchise for a long time.

I kinda agree but I also worry about all teh other crap kids are subjected to nowadays. They just dont make movies like they used too.

i wanted to ''see'' Galactus....a friggin storm cloud...grrrrr

Loved it, much better than the first. Thought it was a pretty strong movie, action was good some of the cgi was good.

Of course it wasnt perfect, i had my gripes but luckily i had them before I watched it so i went into the cinema not disappointed.

And as i thought Galactus was not a cloud, he was just covered by it.

I realized that hey *****e!!! The FF isn't the Dark Knight...it's supposed to not be so dark. I loved that Galactus was a phenonmonon more that a cat in a purple suit.

I thought the sense of dread over the world ending was done better than it was in Hellboy. The whole locking up the FF in an underground army base was kind of trite, but I realize how much BATMAN has tainted my view of what a superhero is supposed to do in a live action film.

It was a great sequel

SURFER DOOM!!!:woot:

Did she see Part 1? Maybe that's why she was confused...

First off there were many kids in my theater and they seemed to be really into it! I didnt know what to think going into this movie as I don't follow all the news on here about F4, but they are one of my favorites going up along side X-men

Now on to my take on the movie, I am not a professional critic or basher of films. I left out my theater and I felt good about what I saw! I went to see the fantastic 4 and not a bunch of other people being named on here like "the watcher".

I can honestly say this felt like a movie based on a comic. It was fun, light hearted, funny, great special effects, and the movie wasn't hard to follow. And I thought doom looked great in his new suite.

I thought I saw a glimspe of Galactus' head on the moon, that was enough for me. When they do a surfer movie they can get into all that stuff and his look.

For this to be an hour and 29 minutes...It felt a little longer. I wasnt left exhausted after watching spiderman 3. I do not see the need for a comic movie to be all "serious" and 3 hours long to tell a good story with nothing but dialouge.

The special effects were very well done and didnt seem chessy to me. I thought the Surfer was done very well in terms of his portrayal. But when he talked with Sue he didn't sound like Fishburne to me at all. honestly I do not think his voice fit the surfer at all. I like how he sounded with Sue though then it seemed his voice changed when he was back on the board.

bascially I liked the movie and I didnt like the first one at all! I will buy this one on DVD. I do hope they make another sequel. It was nice to see ben in human form. Him and Johnny were great!

Finally saw F42, through other means I might add. But I will indeed see it in theaters whenever the hell it decides to come out here in Japan. I liked it, WAY better than the first. It actually felt like the F4 comics this time around. I loved Doom's look but I still hate how he was misused yet again for the most part. Silver Surfer was excellent and yes, I do wish the movie was longer. I wasn't disappointed with Galactus at all. Why? Because I know he'll be in his full glory in the solo Surfer movie :D

I quite like the fact we never get to see galactus...IT was somewhat more...of a force of nature we were dealing with rather than a person we could relate to or put a finger on.

The film was great but had potential to be the best superhero film of them all...

The comic plot was good enough, they may have required more time and more of a budget to pull it off but i'm not sure whether from a business sense of view that would have been worth it, this film i don't think is really going to be affected, I think it will do really well regardless...

Battles could have been longer, Maybe the surfer could have had a 'tiny bit more time' and i would have preferred to see him interact with alicia rather than susan. I do also think the part would have been better if it was played by an actual being rather than being cgi a lot of the time..

Doom's motivations could have been better enhanced as well as having numerous opportunities to stop him after wielding the power cosmic but it was alright since galactus was pretty much at earth already so that was fine again.

special effects were dodgy in some places but i let that fact slide because it was fairly consistent and didn't bother the flow of the film.

comedy actually worked, liked johnny becoming more mature but still keeping some of his characteristic traits throughout the film.

I Wished:

Doom was defeated via a cosmic barrier anomaly or even though he was caught up fighting skrull storm (aka johnny), he was still taken out by the rest of the powerless group via some out-thinking.

I also wished we never actually got to see any portion of his face, but i wasn't sure why he put the costume back on by the end of the film wielding all the power cosmic.

interactions and variety of powers were well shown, just wanted so much more from skrull storm though, that fight could have owned seriously (easily been like 5 mins long).

Doom needed more cool lines and i wished his encounter with the surfer had rid him of all his powers which made his motivation to wield the board more reasonable.

Some deep thought into whether the galactus cloud was the same source of entity that created them all would have been nice as well but meh.

Costumes were ****ing amazing...best set of superhero costumes yet, put the x-men into shame with their non-flexing leather. haha.

Storywise and general entertainment wise, this film beats teh **** out of spiderman 3, and i didnt even hate spiderman 3...

I believe the fact i thought i would hate it when i went to watch it made me enjoy the film far better than i had ever anticipated.

haven't been this entertained by a superhero flick in like nearly 2/3 years...

I really liked it.

I had no problem with the cloud/smoke the covered Galactus and his ship or what ever, you could clearly see the "devices" that go into the holes. I think it actually prevented the movie from being over fake.

The ending did not bother me, looked like Surfer teleported Galactus away.

Even though it was Pg it was still rather good, I do not expect lots of blood to be in a "super hero" movie.

I found the acting and script to be a lot better than sm3, and well.. yes I actually found the fx to be better than in SM3..which over did it, F4 did not over use FX.

Could have used a different voice for Surfer though.

True, I didn't mind Fishburne's voice but I much preferred the one used in the trailer.

Oh and you can hear galactus laugh when the surfer "confronts him" I knew i wasnt crazy...lol
