Well, Fassbender is eyed up for Lizard in the Spiderman reboot, in my opinion it would be a much bigger and better role than Magneto which seems wrong but when you think about it Magneto has had his day on the big screen where as Lizard as a unique concept, a villian spiderman cant kill because he is a friend.

Truth be known, assuming you believe the rumours about how crappy a film it is, Jonah Hex has probably scarred Fassbender's opinion of CB films for life.

Well, it didn't keep James McAvoy away. And I consider James to be one of the best - if not the best - young actors working today. He tends to choose his projects based on good scripts, and he's not a guy who works on a dozen films a year because he wants to become more known or more famous. Since Wanted he appeared in only one film a year - Wanted in 2008, The Last Station in 2009 and The Conspirator in 2010. So I trust this project a lot knowing that McAvoy, Vaughn and Singer are involved.
The Fassbender thing was a rumor; we never knew if he was really Vaughn's one and only choice for Magneto. Or maybe Fassbender has another project, one that can or cannot be the Spidey thing, who knows. We'll have to wait and see. If I were you I would remain optimist.
