I saw a promo for Jupiter Rising with Tatum in it and he looked and sounded so awful. The thought of him as Gambit just makes me want to cry.

Is it just me, or does he usually play a good-hearted or moral character?
Gambit should be around mid-20's in 1983, based on prior movies/information. That means that in a future movie, using the OT cast, say 2023, he'd be more like 65 years old, and who wants to see that.

The only reason why that would be worthwhile is if they went with the Witness storyline of the X.S.E. with Biship, Shard, Fitzroy, etc. Although I would love to see Selene and Fitzroy as villains in an X-Men movie, and more of Bishop, more time travel stories seem unlikely. Although this storyline would be an easy way to bring Bishop and say Blink (she could be the one to help transport him through time) into the same timeline as the younger, new X-Men. Just imagine a late 1980's or early 1990's movie with Scott, Jean, McAvoy's Prof. X, Hoult's Beast, Ororo, Gambit, Nightcrawler; along with Bishop, Blink and others?
I really have the feeling that the OT cast is done! The fact that they are going with a new, younger cast set in the 80's means that they will likely stay focused there, especially since the extremely popular McAvoy, Fassbender and Lawrence are usable in these earlier set stories. My expectation is there will be a 1990's movie after that, along with some spin-offs that will likely take place in the past. I don't see them using the OT cast again, unless something goes horribly wrong with this Apocalypse movie or until the reboot, which I don't expect to see until say 2024 at the earliest.
I know plenty of people Tatum's size at the age of 21/22
In the future (2023) he would be 60, if he's just 20 in 1983.
Tatum has really lose on weight.
