Some intriguing speculations. Purefoy as Stannis is not a bad idea, and he was good in Rome. However I wouldn't mind with Eva Green as Melisandre. :D
 
Having Eva Green join GOT season 2 would be a dream come true. :awesome:
 
The good thing is about the other 'Non-Camelot, Camelot' Tons of movies/series with lots of casting potential.
 
got my trigger on the download button on the kindle...once i get off work, i finally get to read some new GRRM material!
 
I work at a book store and we got ADWD in about a week before release. I haven't read the books but I watched Season 1 on HBO and I got to say it was pretty empowering to hold something so many couldn't wait to get their hands on.

Can't wait for Season 2. Wonder who they will cast as Stannis?
 
Going to buy the new book tonight (although I'm only in the last quarter of ASOS) I can't get enough of Westros! I watch the show nightly and then read the book nightly. I am soooo glad that the show came out and introduced me to the series when it did. I CAN NOT IMAGINE HAVING TO WAIT YEARS TO FIND OUT SOME OF THE CLIFFHANGERS IN THESE BOOKS... (its going to suck after I read the most recent book!)

I'm really curious to see who they cast as Stannis aswell. I did think that they did a great job (physically) in casting Brienne.

Yes, it will suck alot...But the tv shows will keep us going in the meantime and maybe motivate GRRM to write faster like his old days. 3 years per book for the remaining 2 would be great
 
Actually, James Purefoy would be great as Stannis or Edmure. Or the Blackfish, maybe.
 
He's too young to play Blackfish. Stannis, Edmure, or Davos would be more likely, IMO.

What they'll do with Jamie loosing his hand? Keep in mind when replying that I've only read up to that chapter of the book so watch your spoilers.

Tony Curran as Edmure.

If Clive Owen wasn't too big, he would be great as Stannis..
 
Clive Owen hasnt necessarily been big in recent years.

If he is up for it...Stannis can be his or he can play the Red Viper aka one of my favorite characters in the series
