Can't wait to read the reports from Comic-Con tommorow this is the one panel that I would go to if I were going this year. I read somewhere that this one is going to be the second "biggest"/most anticipated panel next to the Avengers.
 
Haven't seen any of these actors except Liam Cunningham, who I feel is a decent actor, but from what I've seen... I just don't see him as Davos. I'll obviously hold off on my judgement of his casting until I've seen him on the show.

Glad to hear the casting announcements flooding in!

I've been watching episodes again, it's a shame Robert was only in 7 episodes because Mark Addy was great as him. I especially loved the 2 scenes where he started out mad at Ned and then just laughed. The one with him and Cersei talking about the Dothraki and their marriage was also really good.

I don't know much beyond what I've seen in the TV show, but I love the caliber of actors they're bringing in for season 2.

For anyone who's read A Dance with Dragons, could you tell me if
Loras Tyrell is in it at all? I've heard what happened to him but I'm wondering if his fate was revealed yet.

You should really make a point of reading the books at some point. And you can always join us in the books thread over on the books forum!

I'll answer your question here, regardless, since you asked:

He's not seen, as there are no POVs on Dragonstone. We get a little new information than what was given in A Feast for Crows, however. He has survived and is recovering, but it's still pretty bad. I don't imagine we'll see too much of Loras in the last two novels, but that's just my assumption based on the information provided.
 
Silly me, I didn't realize there was a books forum. Thanks for the info -- I'll ask any further questions over there.

(I think I will get around to reading the books though, especially since I have to wait 'til next year for Season 2. I'm too impatient.)
 
i fear the book forum... because I am currently reading A Feast For Crows and it seems (from as little as I dared skim) that everyone in the forum has already read that book. Its sad... I'm forced to sequester myself until I catch up to everyone else, so as not to spoil anything...

So I linger in the TV thread ;)
 
I don't recall seeing much of AFFC in the thread. I'm reading ACOK so I've been discussing that. Then there's ASOS and a bit of ADWD but that's been in spoilers.

Yeah we'll be doing ADWD in spoilers for a while. I think we only put stuff from the first book in regular text. But if you have book questions feel free to post them there. Everyone in the book thread so far has been pretty respectful of spoilers.

I think the ones on the left are The Maid and The Mother, the 'darker' ones are the Smith, The Warrior, and The Father. I think two of the 'cooler' looking ones The Stranger and The Crone are missing from that photo unfortunately.
 
Which location are you guys looking forward to seeing in the opening? For me, it's [blackout]Harrenhal, Storm's End and Dragonstone[/blackout]
 
I'm looking forward to seeing Harrenhal myself. That place was described so well and the crap that goes on there is great.
 
Beyond the Wall for me. They're going to film some of that in Iceland. Looking forward to how they'll do [BLACKOUT]Quarth[/BLACKOUT] as well.
