Bronn: Oh, are we friends now?
Tyrion: Of course we are. Just because I pay you for your services doesn't diminish our friendship.
Bronn: Enhances it, really.

Dunno why, but I think it's the lines after it which make the exchange gold:

Bronn: Enhances it, really.
Tyrion: Oh! Enhances! Fancy word for a sellsword.
Bronn: Been spending time with fancy folks.

"You don't know how persuasive I am. I've never tried to **** you." :D

"Born amidst salt and smoke. What is he, a ham?"

"Brother, now I understand why you found religion in your old age."

Stannis words to Davos in The Prince of Winterfell.

And of course, "You know nothing, Jon Snow".

Bronn becoming cultured is pretty funny.

And yeah, whatever happened to that pirate guy? He seemed like a fun character.

He was off screen trying to convince Cersei to **** him.

I think you'll enjoy the next episode. Also (minor spoilers)
season 3 / book 3 is pretty Jon and Robb heavy

Well thats good news, looking forward to next season already.

I prefer Season 2 immensely to SEason 1. However, I admit it's because I like the individual stories better. Arya has a lot more to do this year than last. As does Tyrion. As does Sansa. As does Theon. Really, the only character I feel who got shafted in S2 was Dany.

The first season does make a more coherent whole I think, because there were fewer subplots. But I think the storylines are immensely more interesting, even if it is a bit overly-convoluted, in S2.

But if your gripe is there aren't enough heroes in this story (your favorite characters being Ned, Robb and Jon kind of indicates that), you better buckle up. This isn't a story about good vs. evil. There are likable and detestable people on both sides and in every house. If you want this to be about the Starks simply slaughtering the Lannisters and going home after a few episodes....that's not this show.

This story asks you to look at all the factions and characters separately and politically. Strict morality ends you where it did Ned Stark. Keep that in mind.

Season 1 was definately more coherent and probably easier to follow, also, I think I just liked the characters more in season 1, Ned, Khal Drogo and Robert Baratheon have been sorely missed this season in my eyes and non of the new characters have been anywere near as interesting.

I know the good guys dont always win and there has to be twists to the story but, and this is probably because of the books, the bad characters are so dispicable I just want them to die painfully and there seems to be more of them this season.

I will be giving both series a re-watch at some point so maybe my views will change but I definately have not enjoyed this season as much as the last.

I wonder what it's like for these young actors to be in a show that they likely won't be allowed to actually watch for a few years.

The actors who play Bran, Sansa and Arya watch it. At least they watched the third episode of the first season, because they recorded commentary for it.

Yikes! Actually, I looked it up and Maisie Williams is 15, so I guess it's kinda okay, and Sophie Turner is like 17. But if Isaac Hempstead-Wright was my son, I'd be a little uncomfortable with him watching this show.

Not surprising. I watched bloody stuff as a kid all the time. It's why I'm so well balanced.

arya watches it with her family and friends. she said so in a interview and knows when the nudity comes up that way she can prepare for it by distracting her family by asking if they want snacks.

It's amazing how much better Emilia Clarke looks without the wig.

:woot:

I remember when that came out on DVD I rented it, must have watched it about 5 times. Then I bought the DVD and watched it another 5 times. Can't believe that was 10 years ago.
