GoT season finale got pretty good toward the end.

Why did the undead king guy spare Jon Snow's big friend I wonder?
A tad bit underwhelming but some very good moments. Mainly from Dany, Jaqen, & an emotional moment with [blackout]Bran and Luwin[/blackout].

That was probably the funniest gag in a while. I've never seen medieval psychological warfare with horns.

I think they really made it pay off by have Theon mention it at the end of his impassioned speech.

I loved how the end just screams at every one of the viewers and the entirity of everything south of the wall that this little war doesn't mean ****. The real story and true threat lies beyond the wall.

The wife basically said, all the little humans are dickering about some lands, But then you have Zombie Armies coming from the North, who cares about those small concerns!

Yes, we did. There was snow on the Iron Throne :cwink:

I agree. Granted there was more foreshadowing information about various storylines in the books but as far as the end game goes that was more info than the books had for sure. I loved that scene. Also seeing Dany north of the wall was awesome.

I am kind of sad that the actor playing Jacquen will not be returning when/if the character does. I love that character and the actor makes him.

I don't know. If Arya ever makes it to Braavos, perhaps they could have the actor come back. It would be a smart casting move imo. The pair just has so much chemistry.

I loved the Osha/Bran/Luwin scenes at the end...LOVED how they tied in something from the books in regards to OSHA.

She did not want to go North in the books, and they spoke to that in the episode. I really liked that.

I really hope they adapt some of the undying scenes next season. Give Dany some dream prophecies.

I agree with this! I haven't read the books but I've been somewhat spoiled. They could have Dany have recurring dreams like a lingering affect of the House...

Dany doesn't have dreams like that. That is warg thing. Dany isn't a warg. Though I am pretty sure she has plenty of people on that side of the world to tell her some prophecies.

Not that the prophecies told to Dany matter all that much. Most are just straight up spoilers, with the exception of one.

Yeah she does, as do a lot of Targaryens.

Targaryens have dreams. Most of which are simply that, dreams. As a general rule, unless they were wargs, what they see is bullcrap. That is kind of the point of the Targaryens. They think they are more special then they actually are and they have died for it. I believe there have been some Targaryens with warg abilities, but like everyone else, they have been few and far between. They do not see the future, the past nor are they able to "transport themselves" as a rule.

Dany believing she has vision is just another way of saying she is the next Mad Queen. I believe any legit vision she has had has been told to her or induced by others like we saw with HotU.

I will miss him, too. But it sounded like they left the door open for his return [blackout]as Arya does end up going to Braavos[/blackout]

If they do meet again, it would make sense for him to change his face back and for Jaqen H'ghar to live again.

A great episode, but I dislike how some things happened (or didn't happen) without being shown. Like, how did Stannis escape King's Landing and get back to Dragonstone? Sansa obviously didn't go with the Hound, but there's no resolution there whatsoever. Did the Hound leave? No repurcussions? And Bronn is no longer commander of the city watch? Just happens off screen? Would have liked to have seen it actually happen. Needed some Bronn tbh..

However those are really minor nitpicks. The episode felt scattered at first but only because the last episode took place in one location and it took a second to adapt back to GoT's tourist-style narrative. Dany kicked major ass in the episode. And that ending, dayum.

Bronn losing his position off screen made perfect sense. It was all about Tyrion waking up to hell.

That's what I was wondering too, It almost felt like there was another episode missing where it ties all of that together. Oh well, the later half of that episode was amazing.
