Murdering two boys who are possibly your own kids?

No one has topped that.

His sister was supposed to be more attractive too. They really kinda uglied up the Iron Islanders.

Rather curious how so many characters are more attractive than they're described in the books except the Greyjoys.

Tell that to the ****e who had her baby's throat slit in front of her, as she screamed from the sidelines. :o

Joffrey tops Theon in pure evildoing. Not debatable.

Another very good episode, I had my problems with Season 2 but S3 has been and continues to be amazing, superb stuff.

Question for those watching the show and maybe those who've read the books: since the first episode, about how much time has passed up to the current episode? Jaime mentions being imprisoned for a year but it got me wondering how much time had actually passed

Sort of a bump here but just wanted to see if anyone had any theories or even if the book says anything about this

I got the sense that Ramsay was trying to clue Theon in about who he was. Theon didn't get it though, because he's just not that clever.

On that last shot of Sansa, I was screaming "SWIM FOR IT, GIRL!" Poor Sansa. The last two seasons have been about robbing her of all hope in her life. She could be frantically working out an escape plan of some kind to reunite with her family, but she just doesn't even seem to care anymore. It's kind of morbidly fascinating.

I really don't have sympathy for the girl...the whole wolf attack thing should have clued her in to how Joffrey was...and even after being treated like a high class hostage when she should have been planning an escape she was being happy she was gonna marry the 'Knight of the Rose'.

How would Littlefinger have treated Sansa, I wonder. After his bit with Varys in the previous episode, I really do wonder...

Could someone tell me who/why the guy is that is torturing Theon?

You know that guy that's got the one armed kingslayer and that huge b***h? His bastard son. Why? Cuz his old man is kinda in Rob Stark's camp. So torturing him might have something to do with that....or most likely it's cuz he's a sadistic f**k.

Ramsay Snow, the bastard son of Roose Bolton who he had "liberate" Winterfell. He's torturing Theon because he's a sicko

From the first ep of the first season till the present moment, I think it's no more than two years, maybe a year and a half. Anyone?

The boy told Theon "This isn't happening to you for a reason. Well, one reason -- I enjoy it."

Also, Theon's tied to an X. Throughout this season, which flags/banners have you seen that have an X?

Season 1 (Game of Thrones) occurs over a year (end of 297 AL to end of 298 AL)
Season 2 (A Clash of Kings) occurs over several months within a year (299 AL)
Season 3 (first half of A Storm of Swords) occurs over the rest of 299 AL.
Season 4 (second half A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons) will likely be starting near the beginning of 300 AL and continue through the year

AL=After Aegon's Landing (conqueror of the Seven Kingdoms)

Ah, screw it. Anyone else here recall the allusion or am I misremembering things?

Just so I'm clear, by the rules of the Black, Jon Snow is currently eligible for a beheading, yes? For killing Qorin Halfhand and everything thereafter? Obviously he doesn't deserve it, just...that's the rules, right?

Probably. But at the same time, no one but a bunch of Wildlings and Jon Snow himself were there to witness it. It's not like the wildlings will rat him out to the Watch, they'll be too busy trying to eradicate them.

Technically Halfhand (Jon's superior) ordered him to do whatever he needed to do to make the wildlings believe he was one of them. It's just another one of those ambiguities that the series is so full of. Having to forsake one vow to keep another, and such.

Also, the whole "don't lay with a woman" thing is one of those vows that isn't very strictly enforced. I think at some point Mormont said something along the lines of, "If I beheaded every man who sneaks off to get some tail, I'd be manning the Wall alone." I'm paraphrasing, of course.

Heh. Makes sense. Go get 'em, Jonny. :word:
