I'm sure Jack feels fortunate, especially since disproportionately fewer male child actors go on to robust adult careers, and even fewer actors at all do anything better than waiting tables and "workshopping" for the rest of their lives.

From what I've read, he's really smart too, and doesn't actually want to be a career actor.

Yes, Jack aims for an academic career and doesn't think he'll do any more professional acting after GoT. He studies philosophy and theology.

If he was going to stay in acting, he'd probably be able to shake this off at some point. As it is, he's probably going to get Joffrey jokes for the rest of his days.

I think the actor is great. It's hard to make me hate a character so much that I see no redeeming value in them yet he's conveyed that vile, worthless, cowardly, pathetic excuse for a human quite well. That's quite a feat for someone who isn't even old enough to drive.

You do know he's about 20, right?

Oh dear, can you imagine if he joins the ministry when he gets older?

"Pastor, I wanted to welcome you to St. Stephen's, and I ... oh my god, it's you! Aaah, run away, run away!"

That reminds me, how much would you say the cast are making in terms of salary per season? Would anyone be breaking a million?

The show has an amazing cast and it is one of the best shows out there, but the show often goes under the radar in finding their talent. I'm also sure that they've locked actors into multi-season contracts so would there be room for them to renegotiate their salaries?

I thought he was younger, like 14-15. So he just looks younger. Not as impressive since he's 21 to be precise, so he can drink but that's still some great acting.

With a cast this massive? Yeah, right...

Per season? Yeah, several of them probably are or close to that. Per episode though? That's a stretch. I'd guess the top paid actors are making half that with the rest probably a quarter or less.

Quick question. If Joffery is like 17 on the show then why is Cersei still Queen Regent? Does he have to be 18?

That's why I thought he was supposed to be younger. I figured if he was even 16 they'd let him run Westeros so being 17 and still yoked by his mother has to be awkward.

Aye, I meant per season but I'd say Sawyer is right. With a cast this big and given not many would be in every episode, a million per season would be a stretch I suppose.

And is that why the King's Sigil is the Stag & Lion holding hands? Aren't they both technically Stags? Or is Tywin teh Donald Trump of Westoros and needs to have a Lion sigil everywhere?

It's the personalized sigil for Joffrey, just as Stannis' is a stag in a fiery heart. The appendix of the books refer to them as "House Baratheon of King's Landing" and "House Baratheon of Dragonstone".

I think playing Joffrey may have ruined that kids career.

Becoming a pop culture icon somehow ruins a career?

If anything, the further we go to the show and more casts are hired, maybe the biggest actors have to take a slice in payment. Didn't that happen with HBO's Sopranos?

Jack Gleeson who plays Joffery was also in Reign Of Fire with Christian Bale.

Christian Bale is basically the reason why the little **** is in business.

So I've been re-watching the entire series (just finished season 2 again yesterday, now it's up to rewatching season 3). It's interesting, after having listened to the soundtracks for all three seasons I found myself noticing the musical queues in the episodes themselves a lot more than on my very first viewing of the show. That doesn't happen very often with me (even soundtracks I love for movies I love, usually when I watch the movie again, the music kind of still remains in the background)....I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ramin Djawadi is an AWESOME composer :)

I'd be willing to bet Dinklage is in that range. He was the first actor they got signed on to this show. Sean Bean may have been in that range as well. Charles Dance may be close to that.

He's extremely underrated and I love how you can listen to his various Dany and Theon themes and hear the progression that fits the characters perfectly.
